Synopsis

I haven't seen this historical period drama so hard for me to say much about it. Unfortunately the drama details are brief and general but I did notice the drama has been the 2nd highest viewed drama for the past couple of months beginning from around ep12 onwards.

Is this drama good? I haven't watched this before. But, I watch this variety show call Infinite Challenge (무한도전) and I heard they are going to appear in like one episode in 이산. I guess this drama is pretty popular.

I was hoping someone would start a topic on Yi San. It is currently my favourite sageuk. I have watched up to episode 30 so far and I am really enjoying it. It's about palace politics within the royal family and the struggles of the crown prince to fight off assassination attempts and become king. This is based on the real life of King Jeong Jo and so far, the direction and acting are top notch. The director of Dae Jang Geum is doing this one, so the quality is very high. The strong ratings prove its popularity, but I am still hoping they will achieve a first place weekly finish because they deserve it.

Also, a book was written by the crown prince's mother which provides fascinating reading about court life in Korea. Highly recommended reading and this is a fine drama. I love the 2 lead actors and you will also see a lot of familiar faces from DJG.

I loved it everytime Yi San was in trouble, Song Yeon & Dae Su always help him! So touching! They would do anything for their king! & I love how all 3 of them have a special relationship! Cause the "king" never has friends...
