Yeah you should definitely come. It's the 'big' thing in Chicago... I went last year and almost got a heat stroke though. It was practically 100 degrees outside, lol.

^ Wow awesome, the line-up is huge this year! I'm so excited... Are you doing the 3-day pass? Haha, if so... you're a big balla.

Oh haha. Were you being sarcastic about the 'big balla' thing? I was serious.

I'm only going for 1 day, I believe. I don't think I want to drop $195 for a 3-day pass.

^ Shit. If you have extra money, please send some my way. Thanks.

So you've been to Chicago for Lollapalooza before? What did you think of the event and such? I've only been to two.

I'm not big on the indie scene, but there are a couple bands I would be totally excited to go see. Unfortunately this show is a bit pricey =P (I second the motion that Xrn should share the wealth)

My bands are:
Modest Mouse
Snow Patrol
Jack's Mannequin (I love them... so much... oh so much. I've been to a Jack's show before for free at the university here, and it was amazing. I was right in front on the side, so I was at one point about 5 feet away from Andrew McMahon, I'm sure that doesn't make any of you that excited though XD)
Motion City Soundtrack
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists

Random: Snow Patrol? >_< They need to be hit with a saucepan a thousand times for creating 'Chasing Cars'. It was played on radio almost every damn day last summer.

Two mates - and self-confessed grammar nazis - nearly fell out over the grammar issue of one line in the song (If I just lay here, would you lie with me...). That was fun.

On topic: I'm not going, but I like Xrn_the_Nigma's list.

No, the stuff on my local radio stations is complete shit. No indie stuff ever plays on are local radio stations.

God shit some even more crappy bands.

Do you guys JUST listen to your local radio station?

Lol Jay. I don't listen to the radio nor do they play Lollapalooza stuff! Plus, the locals play 'gangsta rap,' hip hop, pop, and r&b.

*Anyways, so here's the list I'm looking forward to:
Daft Punk
Interpol
Muse
The Roots
Regina Spektor
Spoon
Lupe Fiasco
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Yo La Tengo
Polyphonic Spree
Peter Bjorn and John
The Rapture
Tapes 'n Tapes
The View
Ghostland Observatory
Tokyo Police Club
Cold War Kids
