Well yes, but only this once. I just wanted to finish this game really bad, but had no idea what do do. So I looked up a walkthrough.

If i am playing skyrim i will mess around with the developer console but if i am actually trying to beat a game i will play legit. Not counting the occasional glitch/bug usage that could speed up the process (IE: in half life 1 shooting the scientist then making him glitch open the door gets you pas an entire level of headcrabs and get the shotgun sooner)

I only really look at walkthroughs in roleplaying games where what I'll say will have an impact on the story line.
I cheat a board games and card games all the time though.

I cheat when I need to.

Only for money, level, or items. No instant wins.

I chose 'depends'.

If I play The Sims, I usually cheat for money to design a kick-a$$ house.

On games like RDR or GTA I cheat for giggles once I've finished the main game.

But generally, to get through a game, no. I don't get why you would cheat to unlock everything from the word go, when that's kinda the whole point. I don't really mind people who do cheat though. If you're stuck on a boss and just can't get through, then I say cheat for that moment, and just enjoy your game.

My first console was a Sega Genesis. I had Sonic 2 and could not beat it. When I got older I made a point to Buy another Sega, Sonic 2, and a Game Genie. I beat the crap out of that game. lol Then later I found out about emulators. Money well spent.

Yes, but only by looking at walkthroughs. I never had a GameShark or anything like that. I'm just terrible at games and get really frustrated and mad.

Yep. I don't play a lot of games, but when I do, I usually use a walkthrough or end up using cheat codes.

Skyrim: tcl, tgm. That's it, we're good.
I do read written walkthoughs when I'm playing J-RPGs because they are so confusing.
Besides that, I don't really cheat.

I'm kinda of the same mind as SirMarc - once I've practically mastered the game, without cheating, I will start toying around and breaking mechanics. Or, if I get too bored, I'll cheat just to see if I can do it (as in, making my own hacks/cheats/etc).
