On the iPad 3 I use, the pages are not properly sized to the screen. The width is being fit to the screen, but it cuts off the top 1/4" from the top and bottom of the page. This can cut off some dialog. I can see it by pinching, but it would be better to fit the height and allow people to zoom in if needed.

In addition to that, I can only see manga in the tour section, if i try to log into the app, it crashes, and it doesn't seem to take long passwords (I changed from a 20 character password it wouldn't accept to a 12 letter one.) I suspect is simply the worst possible mode of failure for "You don't have a manga subscription" but I'm not spending $5/month to find out.

Thank you again for all of your feedback, we will work to make this experience the best it can be!

I've already submitted to the dev team the issue of no chapter numbers in the dropdown (bottom left). Issues with zoom will be discussed, as well!

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, from all of the CR Staff!

Another thing that would be nice would be some kind of a comments section for each chapter, similar to the video comments for each anime/drama episode.

Not just you, same for me. I just figured it was probably due to licensing issues.

Some bugs with the guide view on iPhone (also iPad, it seems), which is generally great by the way:
1: Missing panels: Coppelion Chapter 2 page 25 lower left panel. Page 28 middle left panel.
2: Panels out of order: Coppelion Chapter 1 page 20 lower right panel is out of order.
3: A full page spread is displayed as two panels in guide mode which seems unnecessary.
These are what I've noticed while reading Coppelion, I'm sure I'll notice more soon.

Also:
The iPhone app restarts pretty quickly when not using it.
The iPad app doesn't make use of the bigger screen when looking through the list of manga or your bookmarks.
The iPad app doesn't have a two-page landscape mode, and you can't do anything but read manga in landscape.

I have a bug to report with Mysterious Girlfriend X manga. I'm an all access member, so yesterday started reading from chapter 1 and really enjoyed the full screen and quality of the manga. However, when I got to chapter 2, there were seven pages filled with completely blank text bubbles. I thought it might be that they were still getting translated and would be available soon, but they're still blank today. Any estimate on when this might be fixed would be appreciated.

If it was left in Japanese, I might be able to stumble through and continue, but completely blank bubbles make for a difficult time in figuring out what's going on! On that note, I would also very much like to be able to switch from raw to English in future to help me learn how to read kanji

I think the whole reader thing is cool and all--
but the fact that you can't really read in HD or anything since it is not a video itself,
it makes the paying option a whole more, well, don't get offended, useless.

Considering that there are other successful manga sites that don't require payment,
moreover they have organized lists to keep track on exactly the same page you left it last time,
or a whole new manga list the updates itself without having to go over to the list to do it yourself,
and there are so much more out there..

Don't get me wrong though, I think the whole new idea is cool and all, making CR not only just an anime view-ing website.
And the whole reader thing is pretty cute and neat-- But there are definitely more work to be work upon.

I don't know how practical either of these ideas are, but would it be possible to see the expected release date for the next chapter and/or add manga titles to a queue that you can check for new releases?

I can not login with iOS (using iOS 7.0.3) manga reader app, every time I try it crashes. I've tried re-installing and using with cellular and wifi but no luck. I don't have any problem with the streaming app. (Never mind I cancelled my all access membership)

I also like the idea of title queue to keep up with new releases.

I think the use of jpg is a little misguided. At times it can mar the art and make text annoying or frustrating to read. png would offer similar file sizes (using the appropriate settings), except for color pages, where jpg remains the only reasonanable option. You would have to mix and match, but it would go a long way in preserving the original work. For the most part though, manga is just in black and white, and these pages make up the large majority. In avoiding jpg, it would definitely set CrunchyRoll apart from other similar offerings I've seen.

Reading a physical copy wouldn't produce any of these artifacts, so I don't see why it should be any different here. The digital manga reading experience has the potential to be better. The ability to zoom in, no bleeding through the paper, no missing center etc. But it's aspects like these which make the difference between something 'good enough' and something genuinely good or great.

At some point I'll probably use the free trial to read up to the latest chapters, but from there, I'm not sure I would bother subscribing, which I actually do want to do.

Finally getting manga is a good idea but the implementation has some obvious issues.

-Adobe flashplayer in 2013? It's much too limiting in terms of which devices can use it and it's bordering on abandonware with the lack of support from adobe. I don't even have flash installed on the devices I would be likely to read on. Even on a desktop it's not overly pleasant as the flash player element cannot be re-sized in the browser, its one size or fullscreen. HTML would be much more future proof in terms of support for touch screens and high DPI screens that are everywhere these days. Additionally it can provide a fallback if the iOS or android app does not work on some persons device due a device specific bug or issue.

-Android app has annoying portrait only mode. Can't trial app with only premium anime account or access ad supported manga. Having to install and use an entirely separate app for each function on the site is a bit of a chore. I would prefer the website to have a good cross platform reader implemented on the website rather than rather than a bunch of apps split across many platforms.

Yeah this needs a queue ASAP, especially for monthly series like AoT

I think the only reason they are using it, is to make it slightly more difficult to save the images, but then anyone interested in that would go get them from one of the thousands of scanlation sites. Really it looks like they just gave the JManga reader a face lift.

I think adding more series to the site asap is important. I know it just launched but it looks a little bare right now with only 12 series. And maybe add more variety (shojo, josei, yuri, BL, 4 panel/gag, alternative, etc.) in order to attract the widest audience possible.

So I've noticed that sorting the manga by updated doesn't work since I noticed that Space Brothers and Fort of the Apocalypse were just updated and they are behind As the God Wills which was not. It is really important that the sorting works properly, especially without a queue feature.
