Speaking of Space Bros, it seems that the latest updated chapter (220) isn't available for viewing for non-Manga/All-Access members. It even has that orange crown on the thumbnail of the chapter.

I think the only reason they are using it, is to make it slightly more difficult to save the images, but then anyone interested in that would go get them from one of the thousands of scanlation sites. Really it looks like they just gave the JManga reader a face lift.

You can block users from right clicking and saving the images in html. Its not as though flashplayer will stop anyone determined to save them either.

Agreed. Screen cap and other means will allow people to easily capture images. However, this is probably a requirement by the publishers to make it "more difficult" to capture the images. I can live with this tech choice.

On to another suggestion...
It would be good if bookmarks created on portable platforms were saved as part of your profile. The main site viewer doesn't seem to have bookmarks at all. If I'm reading a series on my iPad and get home, I'd like to be able to pull up my bookmarks and immediately go to where I left off.

How about a Windows 8 app? The Adobe Flash reader takes up 100% of a CPU core when changing pages, zooming in/out and panning. This is not good on a low power battery operated mobile device.

I know there's a lot of chapters but would it be possible to add the remaining volumes of space brothers, mysterious girlfriend x, and coppelion?

One thing that I noticed while using the ios app is that when a page is loading, it uses the same spinny loading thing that pops up when the phone dies, so every time I move on to the next chapter, I think my phone died.

If we want to please as many people as possible, I think it would be a necessity to be able to configure and save what buttons (on the keyboard) or mouse clicks do when in normal view and/or full screen mode. You can do things like this in many video games of course, and if we could also do that here, I'm certain this would please almost everyone.

So after a quick read of every ones posts so far I have the following suggestions.

1) Add a queue so we can follow our favorites.

2) Add Bookmarks so that we can jump back to where we left off .

3) Improvements to page and chapter navigation on all platforms, especially the apps.

Lastly I would like the option to change the reader size while its in the window. On'y having the option of full screen or the small reader is limiting.

In the iPad/mobile app, it would help to show how many pages are in the current chapter. So, at the top navigation bar, show "Ch. 4 , Page 4/25" instead of just "Ch. 4, Page 4".

And once you've flipped from the end of one chapter to the start of the next, you can't use back to return to the previous chapter. You have to exit out of the chapter, select the previous chapter, and then page all the way to where you were.

It would also be helpful to indicate in the chapter list which ones have been read.

On my iPhone, I'd like the ability to zoom into a panel then scroll through the panels in order.
Queue has to be similar to anime if it isnt. I really haven't checked to see if it's similar.

Can the CR app have an all-in-one Anime+Manga+Shopping+whateverelseCRhas. I'd prefer to have all things CR in one app.

I'm not sure if it's just me but why can't the iPhone CR Manga app remember my password?

2) the Manga app has Bookmarks, however, it doesn't update as you read. I thought it worked similar to the Anime Queue.

What happened to the list by oldest option in the app? It is more convenient to list chapters this way if you are reading from the start.

One of the things that needs to be addressed promptly is what others have suggested:
"The zoom settings should stay constant when you flip between pages".

I was reading Fort of the Apocalypse on an iPad mini last night and it took me a while to figure out why the art looked off, it was becuase the zoom was not locked and I had to realized I had to manually swipe around and resize every page to see the bottom. That is the hallmark of a poor reader but I am sure it can be fixed quickly. Also, on the iPad it does not properly display spread pages as they are only shown as seperate two pages. I would imagine this is a minor fix. Even if it is not, this kind of problem fundementally undermines my reading enjoyment with the app. And its not like this is the only place to read this stuff....

Also, I should not have to relogin every time I boot the app. Other comic readers do not require that. Again, seems like a minor fix.

As new series are added, there needs to be some coding as to how each series is represented on the Crunchyroll. I am sure there will be some classic series that are complete (as in finished publishing/story over) and all up on the site, some that have everything that is old as well as the new chapters up, and then only those series that have only the last few chapters online. I understand that the publisher does not want to canibalize their sales on books of Fairy Tail and Attack on Titan, but it needs to be clear what the availability of these series is without having to click into them.

I would not hurt to bring and brand together the Weekly Shonen Magazine stories. It can help people discover new things they might like if they knew that it was originally all published in the same magazine.

While one hates to talk about the competition, it seems unlikely that anything that every appeared in Jump is going to be on this app as Viz has that locked up (at least in North America). Speaking of the competition, it would be nice if there was a weekly compilation file to download containing all of the new chapters (liken to the digital Weekly Shonen Jump) that I can store on my iPad. I do not like having to eat up data usage to read streaming comics when I am away from wifi and being able to download the week's new Jump at home and then take it on the go saves my data plan from being too expensive. Every commercial comic reader I use (basically Viz, a few various western comics sources and the Kodansha comics app) has some sort of option like this for people with non3G enabled devices to store and read things on the go (which saves celluar data use).

To be sure there might be people that just download every weeks file and then cancel their membership, but that can be remedied if only that week's file is available for download that week and the missed/old chapters available for streaming. A digital magazine plan like Viz's WSJ would also work, where they are all digital books bought weekly, but with the current model the above cure would work and keep people subscribed. The value in this new manga service is only to have an easy and legal means of reading new chapters of manga when they are available in Japan, or close to it. Again, liken to WSJ. Making that as user friendly as possible will keep people signed up.

Generally about the localization, for the translations of the FX, it either doesn't need to be there or can be a lot smaller. There were a few instances where the letters (big Japanese with slighly less big English letters next to it) were blocking up a lot of the page. I think the people into reading Japanese comics online are pretty sophisticated and can read enough kana to know what the sounds say. If you want to be more inclusive, just please make it smaller so that it does not block the art. Also, please just transliterate as this is closer to what the author wrote as well as more (i.e. "DON" not "BANG"). It is distracting when the translation does not match up with the letters on the page.

-Notification when new content comes available for your favorites Kinda like how Queue works for the videos. Both on the website and the app.
-Something to tell you what chapters you've already read. Maybe just grey the text of chapters read or something along those lines.
-On the Android app, an option to keep the screen from timing out / device going to sleep. AKA keep alive
-save username and password and Auto logon (Android)
