Yes, and they should add a Vita manga app too as the manga pages don't work in the Vita Browser... only consolation is that manga is hard enough to read on a 15" laptop screen so the 5" Vita screen would need the iPhone zoom functions.

Hell-to-da-yeah on this one (seriously CR.....what's up w/ dat?? )

OT, I gotta say it's definitely 'suh-weet!!' but I will echo what many others have said about a Anime/Manga membership combo, too. I'll have to watch and see how this pans out, but for right now I'll just hold off. 12 titles don't really seem enough to move me on paying extra and I don't necessarily want to jump in and 'try' some random newer chapter w/o having the foundation of the older chapters.

Wow this is gr8, especially since other anime sites are closing down to streaming , Crunchyroll IMPROVES. I use 3 other anime sites only because Crunchyroll does not show them, FREEZING VIBRATIONS is one of them. But still this is a gr8 site and is in my top 3. There are not many anime that this site does not show but freezing is a tp anime and was surprised it was not on list , alll others are. Crunchyroll is a gr8 site.

Only thing I hate is that you can't skip to the next chapter once you have finished the current one in the Android app. You have to exit out the chapter, find the next chapter, then click on it to continue, rather than a seamless transition between chapters while reading.

This wouldn't be a problem if the app actually marked which chapters you have read already, but since it doesn't a lot of times I either see the same chapter I read, or even worse I skip chapters.

Apart from that, I'm glad CR got manga.

Funimation licensed it here in North America, which takes the wind out of CR's sails, since that is a huge chunk of CR's userbase. Worse, even if they could consider licensing a simulcast for the rest of the world, Funimation has been known to grab the English speaking country rights and re-license those later to companies in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand (which would also cut those off from CR).

Since you are in Australia, hopefully one of those 3 other sites you are using is a legal one:

As others have commented, could there be an anime + manga all access option please? Never watched drama and never will. Upgrading to all access membership not worth it, especially with the title selection currently have.

Mac desktop computer viewing the manga on. Not great to try and read it in regular browser screen size. Fullscreen need to go to. Could you put up a how to navigate, what each icon ("button") does? I think I figured it out but (maybe because I'm well over 20) it wasn't intuitive.

Well... The manga section is completely empty for me. So I presume that nothing is available in my region.
Thanks for trolling me with all these announcements, CR.

I'd update, but an All-Access membership is way to much. 11 dollars per month is a bit pricy. I have auto insurance to pay and phone bills to pay monthly, not to mention i'll soon be having appartment bills to pay monthly. Crunchyroll is plausible because it's cheap for the anime-membership. If the all-access membership was cheaper i'd upgrade!

But congratulations. This is an excellent step forward.

Also, would LOVE to see manga versions of series like Nichijou, Chronicles of the Going Home Club, Yuyushiki, and LUCKY STAR available!!

Nichijou and Lucky Star are Kadokawa
Kitakubu is Square Enix
Yuyushiki is Houbunsha

So unless more publishers decide to opt in to this, we won't be seeing any of those series.

That's what I meant. I want CR to get more publishers in on this!

I found Guided-View worked fine for a 7" tablet screen in JManga, in the few titles that supported it ... and from what's been said here, all of Crunchyroll's titles support Guided View, but its only made available in the apps.

So that might work OK for the Vita 5" screen, though its likely that support for zoom would come in handy for some larger panels ~ and that would be an extra reason for wanting the app.
