I really want to get a manga subscription, but I don't want to pay for drama as well because it's very limited in Australia.

Was nice catching up on yamada-kun as the scans aren't this far but the reader is really, really bad and clunky. I was hoping that crunchyroll could design something better than those free manga sites. For example scrolling up or down switches pages, which means you pretty much have to expand whatever browser window you are in or clunkily click and drag the archaic scroller to see the page. Also clicking on the page to go next or previous wasn't working for me 90% of the time, forcing me to use the arrows but I'm sure that can be fixed. Chapter numbers on the popup list in the bottom list would be awesome as well, I can't tell if it's previous or upcoming chapters by the title alone. Otherwise the idea is great and has lots of promise, looking forward to future improvements!

In the U.S., a one month anime subscription costs $6.95 per month, and a 1 month manga subscription costs $4.95 per month. Add this together and it's $11.90. An All-Access membership is $11.95 a month, so u basically get Drama for free (or for 5 cents, technically). I'm not sure how much it is in the Australian dollar, but it's probably something similar to this.

I agree. I would pay for a Anime+Manga package, but never for the Dramas that I do not watch. CR add a plan for just Anime+Manga and I will upgrade in a heartbeat; but I'm not jumping from $6.99 to $11.99 to cover services I don't want. Cable companies are learning the hard way that a-la-carte' pricing beats bloated bundles anyday.

Also, would LOVE to see manga versions of series like Nichijou, Chronicles of the Going Home Club, Yuyushiki, and LUCKY STAR available!!

Nichijou and Lucky Star are Kadokawa
Kitakubu is Square Enix
Yuyushiki is Houbunsha

So unless more publishers decide to opt in to this, we won't be seeing any of those series.

This is the kind of manga service I was hoping for when JManga debuted, so I'm quite happy CR went with what has been successful so far for them in anime--a full access subscription-based service at a reasonable price, along with an ad-based one. Plus, I'm fortunate that I have an all-access memebership from having taken advantage of the sale last year!

I don't know if it should be working yet or not or if it works for free users but every time i click on any of the manga i get directed to this page https://www.crunchyroll.com/freetrial_m even after i click free user it repeats the process when i click on a manga.

edit: nvm only some of the latest chapters are available, i like how you can drag the manga but it seems pointless until you have the zoom function, unless zoom function are only available to membership users.

Since it seems u have a "normal" account, u should only have access to the latest chapter of each series. Anything more than that will require u to upgrade either to a manga account, or an All-Access one.

Currently, they are only available for manga/All-Access members, but I believe that's a mistake since Shinji in the opening post of this thread said they are working on making it available to everyone!

In the meantime, what I do is just use the full screen mode of your browser (F11 for Firefox), then use the browser's Zoom In and Zoom Out features. It works really well.

Here's a good example of what I was able to achieve:

Notice that it fits the entire page in, but doesn't quite fit the width of the screen, but it's pretty close, though. Some series fit to the width of the screen better than others, and all I have to do now is just click on the next page. I don't really need to do any scrolling or dragging since it fits the whole page in while being zoomed in enough this way (at least for me it's zoomed-in enough ).

seems like free users don't have full screen either. i noticed that when the ad was playing after it there were a couple of functions would pop up but will dissepear which means free users gets none of those functions. so to sum it up we only have to drag function and the left or right scroll function.

well i can't argue with this i mean the new chapters are pratically for free just with no fancy gadgets to make the experience better.
