yeah I guess its boring and tense but once youve got your G2 and some experience taking the G license test isn't so stressful.

Going to the DMV means you better have a few hours of idle time..

The DMV's at places with a higher population leave you waiting forever before you get called up.

Sounds like VicRoads, where you have to go to get your licence or register you car. You know you are in for a long wait any time you have to go there. They won't employ enough staff or do anything to make it more efficient because they know you don't have a choice but to go there.

It is not hard to get your license. You only have to take written test, and a driving test. I passed them with the first try.

I guess i should visit one day.

There are few DMVs in my place. Going to one of them next to a Flea Market would surely make you wait for hours and hours long. In this case, one should rather choose to set up an appointment.

Actually the wait at the DMV where I'm from isn't so bad anymore. I remember when I was taking my written test, it took forever because so many others were taking it too. Besides, it helps to be there early if you can or if luck is upon you, you go whever you feel like and able to go in and out within thirty minutes. Me, almost everything can be done online for the DMV, so I do that instead. In regards to renewing registration that is. =P I'm suppose to renew my license this year, in a month to be exact, so maybe I have to show up or maybe I don't because I have a very good driving record.

PLEASE! NOT THE DMV! hehe... to those who got their licenses on the 1st try, please drive carefully. i've noticed, the people who get their licenses w/o repeating any of the tests think they already got the skills to drive fast and carelessly. skills are developed by experience, not some guy teaching you where's the brake or how to turn the wheel.

get back on the topic... PLEASE! NOT THE DMV! ... btw, any1 of u had a filipino test instructor for the driver's license (i had one, and he barely passed me, even though i should be repeating the whole test. very nice!)
