There are two thing to that. First of all there is a new/old competitor who also entered bidding in UK. So you can still watch some simulcast even if not on Crunchy. Crunchy resources are limited, so instead of buying overpriced licences for UK, and spend a lot more money just to have the same number of licences, they decided to spend it on other places. Thanks to that other regions received more shows.

Second reason may be that, crunchy wanted to increase their Europe share there is a lot shows that were licences clearly for Pal or EU regions. Lately there is a lot of market expanding on crunchy, so i think that may be a case.

Sorry that decreased number of UK shows, but it's not like they are unavailable for you. I also hope that increase of continental europe members will offset decrease in UK members.

Oh yeah so i'll just go buy two other subscriptions thanks but no thanks.

Hmmm. That means that UK have only 10mln people. Was there some sudden disaster i don't know of? Let's say that every 1 in 50 people are interested in anime. From 1 mln it makes it 20 000. Is that still that huge number?

Sorry yeah pro-tip don't try and do maths when you've just woken up lol

I don't think of it will happens soon. Correct me if I wrong but there is no case where US didn't receive license and other region did.
But you right. I remember that in previous way people from UK said the same thing when people from other regions where complaining. Fortune is rolling around, isn't she?

That's the problem Crunchyroll aren't interested if the US licence isn't available... For example last year Accel World Viz got the licence for that show now as far as i'm aware viz don't buy licences worldwide so why didn't Crunchyroll pick up the countries that where not the US? Because they aren't interested if they can't get the US license.

Is it too much to ask for a simple explanation for why certain anime are region restricted? All this is doing is segregating the Crunchyroll community. And to those of you telling us UK members to go over to MangaUK to ask for sublicensing. When did we, paying customers, become liaisons? When did we obtain the status to bargain between companies and why should we? I could have sworn that was Crunchyroll's job, like they've done to obtain every other title here. Our money is as good as anyone else's so please do watch your attitudes.

Thanks for obtaining One Piece for those to enjoy Crunchyroll, but unfortunately I'm still left unable to watch it legally and in high def.

So you're saying that us (people in LATAM) don't care about anime? don't care like you? you have no idea about how big anime, one piece is in LATAM how many fans it has, you have to understand that there's a big world outside your country and that there are many people outside it , that like anime and One Piece in this case, if you don't know about other countries or anything else ouside yours don't say stpid things like that, plus it might be possible that in a future you get One Piece just like LATAM recently got Hunter X Hunter, you have more services and access to manga and anime so stop it

Most of the anime you don't have I probably don't give a crap about. One piece is my favorite anime and I still can't get it anywhere. I'm gonna rant and I don't care what you think or anyone else for that matter. Call me selfish or whatever I don't know you and I don't care. I'll still stand by saying One piece most probably has a big fan base in Europe then South Africa, Australia and New Zealand ! I take back Latin America.

This is just stupid, I want to support anime but how can when VIZ, Shonuen, Hulu or CR can't get Enough or ANY ANIME OVER HERE IN THE UK!!! I want Shonen jump magazines but no no no no, its always can't. I hate those two words with a passion.

I'm so glad Monster Hunter is a sells better in Europe than America, good at least I have a better chance of getting their games than America.

It's great you guys got Hunter x Hunter. You got it at a good time, the famed Chimera Ant arc is underway. I'm always wanting more people to check out the new anime since it's my favorite Shounen right now.

Funny thing is it would be different if the UK got a license the US didn't wouldn't it? Then you'd be the one expressing your opinion.

Actually, Latin America and Iberian Peninsula(Spain, Portugal, Andorra) got two catalog titles that the US didn't.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/dance-in-the-vampire-bund
http://www.crunchyroll.com/seiken-no-blacksmith (Sacred Blacksmith)

Both of those are from a Spanish company who also licenses in Latin America.

And to the poster that wondered why some of us are saying that UK members should let MangaUK know that they want their stuff on Crunchyroll, this is why. If anime company in Spain can provide a catalog title to members in that region, then there's no reason why MangaUK can't do the same for UK members(and FYI MangaUK has the UK rights to those shows I listed above). If enough UK consumers get the word to MangaUK that they want MangaUK catalog titles on Crunchyroll, then MangaUK will feel some pressure to comply with what their customers want. I believe that Crunchyroll really does want to work with MangaUK, so this is why I think that it's MangaUK for some reason that doesn't want to work with Crunchyroll.

And acquistitions like this will help Crunchyroll expand and grow towards 500,000 subscribers and thus expand further who will work with Crunchyroll. I wonder if MVM or MangaUK will continue to say no to a service that's growing like CR is.

You know I won't call you sellfish because it's something you like and you want (One Piece), you have every right to complain to say you like or dislike something, I completely understand how it feels to read "Not available in your country" and I know how annoying it is, you know besides CR there's no other streaming service to watch anime in LATAM?, or tv service since animax dissappeared some years ago, that besides the recently CR manga service there's no other way to read manga legally? and worst if you're in Mexico you have NONE, since the service is not available in Mexico?, trust me I do understand how you feel but there are ways to express it, and you're acting like a kid, you want One Piece, I want Saint Seiya Lost Canvas and Omega, but they are not available in my country and that's bad, because I know and it's a fact that Saint Seiya is a million times more popular in LATAM than the US but we got nothing and I know it's not CR's fault but first you must relax and express your discontent but not in that rude way or disrespecting other countries saying they are less important or things like that, because we all think about ourselves first but there are many others outside our places that share our interest and might be more or less people but there are, and that in the end CR tries to get as many regions as possible if its not available in your country it is not CR fault but most likely the license owner, and finally again maybe in I hope and wish not distant future you get One Piece, just like we recently a couple weeks ago we had the chance to watch Hunter X Hunter, there are ways to ask for things and express discontent but you are not doing in the right way
