It seems like a good deal, however I don't exactly have the spare change to throw around for fun. I suppose I'm just worried that if I buy this I'll end up with a collection of old harem animes.

As it says they'll be different titles from last year but maybe these will still give you an idea. Honestly I'd put it into terms of trading cards. You'll probably get a rare or two then some (un)common but still decent ones:

Hmmmmm, if nothing else there is variety. I did spot several decent titles. I may just have to go through with it. RAMEN FOR THE REST OF THE MONTH FOR ME!!!!

So, from someone who has bought this before (or who knows a bit about the anime that were in the videos posted above)-is this just CR clearing out stuff that didn't sell? Or is this going to have stuff that's more recent/decent? Or is it a combination of the two?

I got the last round and mostly ended up getting pretty dated anime, some were good but most were just old school or early 2000's I got a few movies but more or less its fun to see what you will get for 20$ but I know the feels of what you're saying and honestly I mean they've updated the box it sounds like so my recommendation is of you watch anime a whole lot get it or if you are looking to veef your collection up buy it, otherwise stick to streaming and whatnot because you'll likely find yourself saying "WHY!?"

CR's selling it, but the orders are being fulfilled by RightStuf, so it's whatever RightStuf has around.

I would expect most of these to date back to the days when singles rather than box sets were the norm, perhaps with slow selling 12-13 episode series or OVAs infrequently included.

From an economic perspective, it makes sense that these would be discs that Right Stuf would normally have a problem selling on their own. That doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't a good value, or even that there won't be the occasional gem, but anyone expecting the box to contain a complete popular series or movie from the last several years will very likely be disappointed.

With shipping, the cost is only 90 cents per disc, which is even less than the bargain bin at a grocery store. It seems like a low risk deal if you like physical media and keep the expectations realistic.
