Watching your family get butchered in front of you, then being told it was your fault then being killed yourself.
Sadly, this does happen. =_=

Dissected alive (under heavy anesthesia so you don't feel any pain).

Being burnt alive.

Next to giving birth to a child, which is probably the most pain a human can experience, being burnt alive is most likely the most physically painful event in a person's life. So the process of burning alive... those moments prior to death, are indescribably horrible.

There is no happy meat.

Someone who studies Anthropology once told me that they think that being hit by an object to the back of the head is the worst way to die. You can remain conscious for a while before you die and all the while you'll be feeling excruciating pain. I think that's what she said anyway/

Some incurable, long lasting disease such as some form of cancer. To know that you will die, and to have your body slowly start to not work well, to feel yourself become weaker and weaker until you can no longer do things for yourself, even to the point where you can't even move anymore.

The hell with that. If I am ever diagnosed with an incurable condition, give me a damn gun and I'll be done with it fast and relatively painlessly.

However on the upside you get some time to get your affairs in order and to say good bye to everyone. Granted the last half of the process will suck, but it would be nice to tie any loose ends in your life before that point.

Dying in excrutiating pain may seem bad, but at least you feel it. Your nerves sensing every last moment, at least you know you're alive. Probably seeing your family getting killed very slowly, somehow feeling it is your fault, then die in your sleep, without feeling it is the worst.

Man, some of those things above really do sound terrible. I mean, good lord, live dissection and vivisection sound horrible o_O

Maybe being eaten from the inside out by ravenous insects or small mammals?

Having my body parts cut up, healed, re-attached, cut up again, repeat the process. While still having my vital organs.

Being poked in the eye with a knife multiple times right before my death. And releasing a thousand tarantulas all over my body as I slowly die from blood loss.

Omg, I shuddered just thinking about that. I Hope I'm not giving any serial killers any idea... >.<;;; I'm terrified.

Protester Paul Connor sits on the lawns of Parliament House on day 34 of his hunger strike calling for climate change action, on Dec. 10, 2009, in Canberra, Australia.
For many of us, eating is pretty much the best part of any day. It serves to reason that not eating -- in any capacity -- would be a horrible way to live life. Even worse, though, is depriving your body of food to the point of death.
First of all, a body can live for a surprising 60 or so days without food (although liquids like water or even coffee must be taken) [source: Koerner]. But what a miserable couple of months they are. After less than a week, the body begins to develop dangerous symptoms as it begins to feed off stored fat for energy. The liver begins to panic first, producing toxins that can be harmful in large quantities. Before a month is up, you're losing about 18 percent of your starting weight .
And then, of course, your body begins to consume its own muscle and organs to be sated with energy. You can prolong the starvation process by ingesting much-needed salt, but it's hard to deny how miserable your final days would be.
