Anyone else insane enough to interrupt their important anime watching schedule to try and write a novel this November? Does it have anything to do with anime?

I am, and it does - sort of. I've fallen in love with the "slice of life" genre and I'd like to try and write a novel like that, light, funny, but also with some truths and friendship. Of course, I'm writing it about a tanuki, kitsune, and a coyote and wolf shapeshifter ...

anyone else?

I am! I'm insane along with you.

My story is a story that I've attempted making a manga out of, but it failed. It's gonna be fun! But, how am I supposed to study, write and watch anime? That is my question.

I don't know if I can complete a whole novel, but writing daily sounds like a good idea. Just for reference, is invisible-ducks-on-heads a common occurrence in fiction?

I'd like to read one to get a feel for it, so if anyone can pm me their story that would be great. I need a new hobby. I've lost interest in all things i used to do including watching anime.

unfortunately I've already given up. but I am working on a novel. The point of view character/narrator is a Kitsune so. It might be seen as anime-ish.

Been working on an adult fiction novel for about two years now.

My perfection insanity and writer's block have made success more a thing of luck than effort.

sorry too much pokemon to write anything other than the for school category.

If I wrote anything it would be fantasy, with mages and dragons and whatnot, for example: A main character who's a unique mage in a fantasy world setting.

btw anyone wanna trade mewtwonite Y for mewtwonite X

Naw, unless inspiration strikes I don't plan to write anything, and even then it would probably just be a poorly-written short story.

I have an account but I doubt I will this year. I just finished my first book and I've sent it to some agencies and now I'm waiting to see if I get noticed by someone. While waiting I'm starting my sequel and I just don't like the idea of putting my book online. I like others opinions but not the idea that my book could be stolen

Yay you - make me a writing buddy on Nano if you like, my name there is Web*tchtress. Replace the * with an "i" (thought they might block it here). One of the years I succeeded in finishing Nano I wrote a story that I had intended to make a comic and had given up on. I recently found the horrible first draft and hope this winter to sit and rewrite it because I think it's a pretty good little novel really. Too much for me to try and illustrate a whole comic of though. That's a ton of work - I have all the respect in the world for anyone who can draw a whole manga.

Going to school.

A Tanuki girl moves to a small town in New Mexico (strangely similar to the one I live in) and discovers there are two boys in her class who are also shapeshifters, a kitsune, and a coyote spirit. Later there will be a wolf spirit joining in. I'm shooting for thirteen chapters or so of "episodes" which are complete in themselves, with an overall arc that somehow involves conservations issues for our desert here and the wildlife and the usual friend issues. Think something like Fruits Basket or Silver Spoon or Moyashimon. Kinda. Actually it is going a lot faster and easier than I expected given that I am going for light and sunny and happy and I normally write sort of dark and desperate and adult.
