Um... Nanowrimo is just a few hundred thousand people who get together in November to encourage each other as each of us writes their own 50,000 word novel. Other than the word count, there's no restrictions - it can be about anything you want. Check it out at Nanowrimo.org if you are interested.

Best of luck with your writing! I've been writing for, well, all my life, but also selling it for at least ten years. Not getting rich but... yeah... I enjoy doing Nano as almost a sort of break.

Are you on Nanowrimo or being brave and strong and winging it all on your own? Either way - best of luck!

Perfection insanity almost always results in writers block. Toss that thing out the window and write - you can always edit and perfect later. Nano is a super platform for helping out with that.

This is my 6th year! I love nanowrimo!! I'm at 11000 words so far and I'm about to cram in a few more hours of writing. I love how it challenges me. It's a bit more of a challenge because this year my anime addiction is about 10 times worse than it was last year. I've almost had to entirely give up my manga reading for the time being, lol!

WOAH. I'm only up to 4000 words! How the heck are you up to 11000!? And people thought I was crazy for writing that much in just 5 days...

I have an account but I doubt I will this year. I just finished my first book and I've sent it to some agencies and now I'm waiting to see if I get noticed by someone. While waiting I'm starting my sequel and I just don't like the idea of putting my book online. I like others opinions but not the idea that my book could be stolen :P

Yay you! And best of luck!

I've been writing professionally for ten years give or take and I find I can manage about 1000 words per hour - depending on if I have to go do some research or work on plot or life interferes. The Sprints on Twitter have helped me this year, too.

Of course, here I am procrastinating at Crunchyroll - on the pretext of watching some slice of life anime for inspiration - when I ought to be writing. I'm having a private little Nanothon tomorrow to try and actually reach 50K this weekend...

I've actually given up on my story, it was getting boring and I was having writers block. I hope you're able to finish your story!
