I used to use earbuds, but after briefly losing some hearing in my right ear at work I switched to pair of headphones. I don't know exactly what they are, but they sound good, and that's all that matters to me.

RIP Every headphones I've used that break within a month for no apparent reason

Your mysterious shittyness will never be matched

But beside that, Ear Pollution headphones are pretty nice in my opinion

And no, shittyness is not a word.

I also have a pair of Tritons, mine's a PC510HDa. I seem to always have bad luck with headsets (they never last long for me) But these have been great. Very comfortable and with just a twist the mic can be removed. The cable has a break away at the volume control, which is great for untangling the cable when you need to.

The volume control is a little heavy. I've had that fall of my desk and it has yanked the headset down with it. I've also had a teeny bit of interference with my cellphone, but if I just pick up the phone and move it, it's fine.

Headphones - Have a pair of Razer Orca's. Caught 'em for $30 (normaly $60+) via newegg so figured why not. I'm happy with them: love the color, very comfortable, hold up well, and the branded fiber cord is a nice touch.

I have a pair of Sony MDR-BX500's which cost me 600 SEK (about $90) and I used them for everything except my main PC.
Then I got a pair of Audio Technica ATH M50's (1400 SEK or $215) for use with my PC only.

Well, that was the plan. I got blown away by the amazing sound quality of the M50's I started using them for everything and carry them with me wherever I go.

I rarely use my speakers. They're only for watching movies with my family.

I mostly use headphones even when using teamspeak or something when pc gaming, I usually use my ultrasone dj1 pro's sometimes I use sennheiser hd280's and I have audio technica m50's that kinda lie around I use to use them a lot before I got my ultrasone's.

prices for headphones in USD, ultarsone dj1 pro ~160, sennheiser hd280 ~100, audio technica m50 ~100

I use a pair of AKG K702's, mainly for mixing, mastering and A/B-ing my own songs with my pair of studio monitors. I also use them for critical music listening. They're open-back so people 20ft away are going to hear everything whatever you're listening to.

They cost me almost $300 when I bought them at Amazon and I haven't felt a single ounce of regret over that.

If you're going to buy them, you'll need a good headphone amplifier and about 150 to 300 hours of burn-in/break-in time in order to get the most out of them.

I use Bose QC3 noise cancelling headphones. If you don't like outside noise and fly a lot these are awesome!! Also if you feel head pressure from over the ear headphones these just lay on the ear and fit great
