I often have problems with headphones, because they seem to break easily when I handle them... So I'm sticking to the earphone that came with my iPhone 5.

I use...earbuds!

I used to use headphones, but I didn't like how the pinching and pressing gave me sore ears or headaches, or if they're really heavy they'd give me a sore neck (I've tried a bunch of different ones, as my brothers have tried to lure me back to wearing headphones by having me try their sets - it hasn't worked). I'm not so starved for quality sound that I'm going to go around and to buy and try a bunch of different models that feel comfortable.

The ideal headphones would be featherlight, and no-pinch. Anyone want to toss me a suggestion?

You might pop on the head-fi.org forums (on Introductions, Help and Recommendations) and ask, if you don't get much advice here. You probably want to mention what music you listen to, your budget, and that comfort is a big factor for you.

From me though, I remember my friend's Sennheiser HD595's to be extremely comfortable... maybe with a bit of weight on them, though. They're open-ear so they'll leak sound, though. Maybe a bad idea if you plan on being around people when you use them, but a-ok if you're in your room by yourself. I remember them being very bass light.

I love headphones!

Beyerdynamic DT990 (~$400, can be had for much less) - These are the best headphones I've come across for electronic/bass-heavy music
Sennheiser HD595 - Last gen. (~$200)

And I have my first custom in-ear monitors on the way! Those are much more expensive.... upwards of $600. I'm super excited

If anyone is looking for headset recommendations, my friends all love Plantronics GameCom 780 (~$80). They come at an attractive price, and I've been told that they have reasonable sound and are fairly comfy. If I were to buy a headset, I would probably look at the Sennheiser PC 360 (~$175).

Headsets for Gaming (turtle beach x12's). Great sound quality, really good for games and watching shows or movies.

Headphones for portable stuff (Iphone, 3DS, PSP). Headphones are pretty convienent and surprising durable.

I use only headsets because I hate bad quality audio, I own quite a few headsets but my favorites are,
California headphones (company) Silverado (model) about $200
Fostex (company) TH-900's (model) I got mine on sale for $1,350 but normal is around $1,500
^Both of these are audiophile over-ear headphones so they have no mic
for gaming I use astro A40's

I have alot of headsets but they all break physically after a while. The tech works still but it's hard to wear them due to the broken structure. :p

My dream headsets are the ones that are wireless, for example with the Halo 4 logotype on and so on. BUT i don't want them to be wireless. So i'll have to limit myself to cool headsets with wire. There are a few. However they don't often have game logotypes on. For that i gotta endure wireless stuff.
