Um... no.

This is the first time I've heard of such methods, but... if it works for you... then why not?

I don't, but this reminds me of a time in college when a roommate was getting ready to go to a job fair. He didn't realize how wrinkled his clothes were until after he had them on, so he ended up ironing them while wearing them.

Maybe I'm sadistic, but I couldn't help laughing as he was doing this because he kept burning himself, yanking the iron away in pain, then quickly reapplying it because he didn't have time to do anything different. The whole scene was too ridiculous.

I do that when I'm in a rush to go to school and my uniform hasn't dried from washing it the night before

I actually dried a shirt with a hair dryer one time, but I burned a hole right through it.

How about this one...hanging clothes on the back of your refrigerator to dry them off? It sounds weird but it works. Had to do it sometimes when I lived in Brazil because we didn't have a dryer and I couldn't hang them to dry.
