This is one of your favorite ploys. "Can someone official please explain" ...

... when you know perfectly well that if it was Crunchyroll's decision entirely on their own, without anything involving Sony's approvals and/or business model, that rather than explaining why Crunchyroll doesn't do it, they'd just do it. After all, in the less restrictive XBox Live system, there's only a handful of countries that do not have access.

Great but if I'm not in the US and already have a ps4 can I download it or have to wait for it to be available?

Step 1 google how to make a US PSN account.
Step 2 log into your account on PS4 (create a new user on the PS4, Don't worry PS4 supports up to 16 users and guest accounts!)
Step 3 start PS Store, download and install the CR app
Step 4... ENJOY! I hope this helped!

Of course at this point, it's unknown if the PS4 will be IP locked.

They've already said that PS4 won't have any type of region locking and that PSN is gonna be region open as well, based on Sonys history whit the PS brand I would be surprised they would be to change that in a future update and even if they did you could always just use a VPN server in your router/access point to get around the region locking!

If you have a smartphone then you could plug your phone into your TV and watch CR on the big screen that way instead of waiting for a CR app on WiiU!

Here's a thought, instead of always making excuses, try putting yourself in the position of those on other end of CR's restrictive decisions and policies. Imagine how that would feel, to pay the same as Americans, but get far, FAR less for your money.

I realise this will be a stretch for you, but please do try. If you're incapable of doing that, then never reply to one of my posts again.

You're automatically assuming that CR is just deciding they don't want to release it for everyone. Has it ever occurred to you that they haven't released it in certain areas for specific reasons? I'm not going to say I'm an expert in this subject, because I'm not... and from what I've been reading, neither is anyone else that is posting on this subject, but I believe they would release it if they could. Not to mention having permission and/or licensing to create an app for another company's product, but also having to have licensing to stream/sell within specific regions/countries.

This is similar to people getting upset at Netflix or CR for not having the anime/movies they want to watch available for them to stream. Most of the time it's licensing issues. They don't have it available because they haven't been able to acquire the licensing necessary to make it available.

I understand it's frustrating. I suggest people have a little patience. Or at the very least, get facts about why they aren't doing what you want before you start crying discrimination against our country. Or... buy a Roku Box.

Oh... And about your comment about paying as much as Americans and getting far far less. CrunchyRoll started as an online streaming site where you paid to stream on their website only. Now, with all the Apps and everything else they've added... everyone is still paying the exact same amount they were before.

If you can stream online then you're getting exactly the same thing I am paying for.

A significant part of the problem, as I have said many times, is the lack of communication. Had they come out and said that they will be releasing CR apps on Sony platforms within 5 days, or 30 days, or maybe even 6 months, at least that would be a light at the end of the tunnel. Instead, all we get is silence.

There are plenty of media apps on UK PS3s, ranging from apps from media giants like the BBC and Sky, to multinationals such as Amazon, to smaller outfits like Netflix, and even down to tiny little providers like MUBI. They're all there and more, so whatever hurdles Sony have placed in their way, they've managed to somehow get past them.

What makes CR different? I don't know, nor do you. All we have is the fact that CR have ignored EU Sony users for years, and show no signs of ever changing. Not exactly a nice way to treat your customers, but again, as I've said before, CR's attitude towards is subscribers (especially non-US) is astoundingly bad. They're amateurish in the extreme, and seem to lack even the slightest idea how generate good will from paying customers.
