Ok this thread was made to find out which animes were made into successful english counterparts.
By successful, I mean that u can tolerate there voice changes for each character.
For Example: Naruto. I would classify as unsuccessful because I can't stand Naruto's voice + others.
For Example: Death Note. I would classify as succesful because I actually perfer to watch the English Dub version then the Sub version.

I think this will be more of opinion then fact...for example, I hate the Death Note dub. Watched the first episode, freaked, and I shall never ever watch it ever again.

Full Metal Alchemist to me, and I think many others, was a VERY successful dub. Romi Paku and that Vic ______ dude's voice didn't sound similar yet, his voice fitted Edward very well. To me, who did watch the subbed version before the dub, I still think the dub is better than the sub. I give chances to dubs, I actually watch the whole first episode before judging whether the dub is good or not. (Unlike many others.)

Edit: Oh yes! Forgot about Code Geass. I watched the trailer, most/some of the voices kinda fitted the characters, I'm actually somehow surprised but I'm looking forward to the dub. I have high hopes for it. Don't fail me Code Geass. O_o Although I'm a bit saddened the narrator in the trailer pronounced Code Geass Code Gay-Ass *cough*

Bullshit, there a lot of good dub actors like crispin freeman and steven, the creator of cowboy bebop himself said that the dub cast was better the japanese cast.

Yes a lot of people around here seem to judge dubs before they even watch them, sometimes a dub improves, like the naruto dub had less edits over time and is now almost uncut, uses the original openings, naruto stopped saying believe it,and the acting improved.

I'm talking when you read a dub versin and then watch the english version it is normally very diffrent. Yeah some voice actors do a wonderful job but I am talking about what is lost through translation. so not so much bullshit. Yeah it is better than it used to be when I first started watching.

Down with Dubs!!!!! The subs are what preserves the escence of anime tradition, the voices we all love, the SFX and soundthacks that make anime unique.... The dubs destroy everything, twist the anime whichever way they want.... they don't do justice...

Bullshit, a lot of dubs are unedited and keep the soundtracks, and have good acting. If there were no dubs, i would have never discovered anime.

I honestly think that the only dubbed anime I have watched is Fruits Basket, Rurouni Kenshin, and Sailor Moon. Oh, Inuyasha too... they were all pretty successful, you get used to it after a while.

Some people don't realize that people like me disovered subs and anime in general through dubs. Though what didn't translate in the nineties was almost anything dubbed in the nineties.
