To be fair though, I really liked the manga at first. Now... Eh not so much. I am extremely interested to see how they manage to end this anime though. I see disappointment ahead unfortunately.

This made me wonder.. Am I the only one who actually doesn't give a shit about the whole pendant plot thingy and reads the manga for rom-com and funny expressions? .__.

Gotta say that I love the way Shaft animated this. Soundtrack-wise I'm a little dissappointed, but the op is decent.

The pendant plot is the weakest link in the manga. (ehehe) Like I said in the manga forum:

Nisekoi had other plot arcs besides the pendant? o_O I think it's not right to say K-on! has fillers so why would Nisekoi have them...

It's the character interaction, humour and art that's the core of the series imo. Nisekoi is more of a school-life comedy series than a harem romance and I personally am completely fine with that.

If Shaft keeps adapting it the way they have which is about 2 chapters an episode, given this is a 2 cour it will end roughly around chapter 50. Also have no idea what others are saying about filler since that doesn't really happen in Nisekoi, not until maybe chapter 90 and it only lasted until about chapter 95, if that.

The problem is if they go for a Anime only ending AFTER that, or if they decide to adapt more of the manga, which I can admit had a slightly filler vibe too it (though not as bad as others say it is) for some of the chapters, not to mention there is no conclusive ending yet as the manga is still going on.

Best thing I think for them to do is to adapt to where i think they will make it too, and STOP IT right there. After a season or two, like maybe returning in the fall, after the Manga has some time to work out some more, then adapt a second season.

The real issue with Nisekoi is that, from the very beginning, it says that "This fake love will lead me down the path to that promise ten years ago" but the manga has only gone down the path, it hasn't gone to the promise. Of course, when it gets there, it is likely done.

In that sense, I can't imagine that the end of the anime will be satisfying, unless they do an anime only ending that reveals the resolution to that mystery. The other option is that they skip a ton of the side-plot/gag chapters and stick to the "main story", and the mangaka is actually almost done with the story and we just don't know it yet...

Otherwise, it will end with everything still up in the air, harem trappings all over the place, and the prospects of another season keeping us from feeling really cheated. (Of course, with the pedigree this show has, the chances of it not selling well enough to warrant a 2nd season are slim to none! It's not like everything Shinbou touches turns to gold, but a large percentage does. He has to be the top selling anime director of all time, right?)

I am reasonably sure that that this will not get an anime only ending. Shaft stuck with Monogatari, ending Bakemonogatari in a reasonably good place and continuing the series since it proved popular. Nisekoi is a very well executed version of a staple anime/manga story. It's nothing new, but it is done well. With the quality of this production, Shaft has every reason to expect this show to be successful. They aren't going to end the show prematurely and kill a potential golden goose.

Pretty much.

I was adding new series pictures to my profile album and that was one of them. Then I saw your picture and it clicked.

As for episode 2 I enjoyed the almost all of it. The comedy was nice and also the animation only problem being the ending. I felt just anger I don't know what Onodera is doing. She had two times to confess that she has the key. Now I know if she did say 'Oh I have the key!' then the story would be over, but I hate the story as of right now. I don't even like Chitoge either. The only person I like is the MC and the gang members. Oh man am I ready for the rest of this show.

Note
1) the number of keys shown in the OP...
2) there is another character whose face isn't shown in the OP that is yet to be introduced...

It is far more complicated that you think... In a good way (most likely).

What are the chances of the other characters being better then Ondodera? Like 50%. I just think I like Ondodera too much.
