It was good, though obviously highly influenced by the Monogatari series. I think this will be a fun watch so long as we don't get an original anime ending.

I noticed the similarities from monogatari too, expecially the camera going from one side o their face to another giving it the look that they are turning around. Pretty cool to see how other anime get influenced by eachother

Haven't watched Monogatari, so I obviously can't notice any of the similarities.

It's interesting how tone can affect perception. I can easily see the parallels in the SHAFT style between this and PMMM, but while I didn't really like it/think it was that great in PMMM, I absolutely LOVE it here.

The fast cuts are a particular favorite of mine.

Also, the musical score is pretty awesome. I don't often notice the background music, but that pan pipe theme is going to be with me for a while.

I didn't really like it. It's so predictable and riddled with cliches. I sense a love triangle forming and I feel that it's completely pointless to have that if the outcome of it is completely obvious. We'll see if it turns itself around.

It's more of a red herring triangle than anything.

I didn't have any expectations for this series one way or the other, but I ended up pretty pleased with what I saw. Good story, great animation. It will definitely be a favorite for me this season.

One thing about Shaft, they really love their architecture don't they. Japan must have the most beautiful schools in the world.

Episode 1
Amazing animation on part by Shaft,it's not as Monogatari like as I wanted expected but it still looks nice being semi-normal/semi-Shaft style.

At first I thought Chitoge's voice didn't fit her but then she started bickering with Raku and I could see why they choose her seiyuu to voice her.

KanaHana voicing Onodera,adorable/cute voice as always,fits Onodera's personality perfectly.Btw Onodera=best girl<3.

So, the first episode...and suffice to say, the show thus far does not have much going for it (and as of this post, have not read the manga so no idea what to expect).

Plot sounds like your typical RomCom shtick in anime. Characters are about what you expect (boring protagonist who wants nothing more to live a boring, peaceful life, demure and shy girl that he's pining for, and the fiery, blonde transfer student [who's a Happa! Yayz!!!) who can't stand the hero).

What DOES look promising, however, are the visuals and the comedy. And not just colorful imagery; the beautifully designed backgrounds, combined with the quick editing, sight gags, and others make this among the funnier RomCom anime I've seen. And thankfully, that alone is enough to want me to continue watching, predictable plot aside.

I was thinking this anime reminded me of both Sayanora Zetsubo Sensei and Monogatari. .

I mean it even had a

'IM IN DESPAIR'

moment if I recall correct.

I was stoked about this anime since I was a huge fan of the initial portion of the manga but the first episode was an utter disappointment.. The direction was ridiculous, way too much fanservice.. The voice acting felt pretty shabby too.. I can only hope the future episodes will be better

I would actually say it isn't predictable. Really I have no idea who he will end up with as far as the manga goes. The manga is supporting the hell out of Chitoge, even though it feels like Onodera should be the main heroine. I honestly have no idea how the author intends to resolve this love triangle.

Ep. 2

It's the first date, and Chitoge thinks pretty lowly about commoners food. Gorilla and bean sprout are sure hitting it off there, with Chitoge going as far as telling Onodera that Ichijo is her darling. Really funny episode there and the two are sure trying to hit it off with each other when neither want anything to do with the other there. Anyway, this show continues to be really nice.

Ep 2

Looks like they adapted chapters 3 and 4

I have to say I'm enjoying this show much more with this episode. It felt a little off with episode 1 (something with the animation felt more wonky than the usual SHAFT fare) but now it's all good.
