In almost every anime we've ever seen, there were characters whom we like/love or dislike/hate, then there are characters that we aren't sure how we feel about them. Whenever you see those characters, you're unsure if you can either care about them or forget them. These characters are sometimes seen more than once but still give you that unsure feeling.
So, are there any characters like this? Give their full name, list the title of the series, and explain why you're unsure on how you feel about them. Let me know if a thread like this one exist or not. Thanks a bunches. ![]() |

Hinata Hyuuga from Naruto/Naruto Shippuden.
Whenever I see her, all the fan pairing wars come to mind. People state why they hate/love her, and it blurs my own opinion as to how I feel about her. |

Sawa Nakamura from Flowers of Evil, (That show is a masterpiece, by the way, so artistic, deep and meaningful).
At first, I hated her, because she acts like a delinquent and she bullies people. But towards the end of the show, you realize she is the innocent one in the world of Flowers of Evil; everyone around her and the audience in the real word are the evil ones instead for thinking that she's evil and that she's the one in the wrong, when she's just trying to be who she is. It's such a great characterization and so powerful and meaningful. I don't know why anime like these don't become the "popular" ones. So like, at the end, I'm not even sure if I like or hate her anymore, I'm waiting for the season 2 of the show (if they ever make one). |

Masuzu Natsukawa from OreShura. She's kind of a bitch, but in a good way...? I don't know; I'm confused.

But, for me, I went from loving Nakamura for being a crazy biatch, then to kind of despising her for pushing Takao so far, then to just pitying the poor girl. My feelings for her got even more warped after reading the manga. I just don't know what to think anymore. Actually, I'd say I have a love/hate relationship with ALL the characters from Aku no Hana. They all elicit way too much emotion from me, I swear. |

Just finished watching Eden of the East movie II and not sure if I like Akira or not...
On one hand, he is an appealing character but sometimes I question his motives and actions. |

Light from Death Note He's pretty smart and has all of these awesome plans but doesn't change the fact that he has this messed up way of thinking that just makes me want to not like him?? |

Yukinoshita-san from SNAFU.
![]() Like, I understand the point of her character, it's not like I didn't understand the show as a whole, but I could never really understand what I was supposed to think about this chick. Like at times I thought she was just charmingly/wittingly tsundere, very similar if not identical to Senjougahara from the gatari series, but there were times where her insults and teasing of Hachiman seemed utterly forced. There was a point late in to the series where it seemed like Hachiman was never really doing anything 90% of the time that would deserve a sharp comeback, she just constantly let her mouth fly at him in what (I guess?) was supposed to be some kind of tsundere way of showing camaraderie? Literally the whole motion of the series was watching Hachiman grow as a human being, becoming more interested in human attachments and more often than not her bitchiness seemed like the anti-solution rather than something that was meant to keep him in check. Like demotivators. It sort of made me dislike her, but at the same time I never really understood Yukinoshita completely, so I didn't know if maybe I just wasn't getting the point. I had these same feelings about Senjougahara for a while but it settled down a bit once she started dating Araragi. |
