Natural selection at its finest. You'd think people would be more cautious about the stuff they do. Could have been easily avoided if they unloaded the gun before playing with it.

Interesting that the article assumes that it was an accident. It should read to the effect: "Sister shoots brother in head in alleged accident" or something similiar. Even if she does eventually face manslaughter charges, what are the odds of a fair trial if the public--read: potential jurors--are having their opinions manipulated by the press from the beginning? Never assume!

That's why you shouldn't allow people to have guns in possession.

Argh, I hate to hear news like this. Whenever negative news surrounding weapons jumps up there are always those who go nuts and start shouting 'ban them' from the rooftops. Is it not common sense to not point a real gun at your head even if you don't think it's loaded? As someone who has been educated in how to safely use a weapon it's always frustrating to hear things like this.

Wrong. This is why you should not let somebody else handle your guns and all gun owners should take safety courses.

They also ignored the first rule of competitions and courses: any gun that isn't dismantled is loaded and deadly.

I agree with you there, it seems to be more of a cultural problem. People today take things to lightly, when a person holds a gun they need to realize what they are actually holding. Power over life and death, not a toy.

accidents happen. it's sad. it all comes down to responsible handling of weapons..never point at anything you don't want to shoot. simple rule.

Given that the article is from The Sun, I'd say the thing more likely to be manipulating opinions is the fact that they make things up on a regular basis, so...
