Though crunchyroll does work in the internet explorer on the surface2, its not very touch friendly and sometimes I cant exit out of full screen after an anime episode unless I attach my keyboard and hit esc. A touch optimized windows app would be awesome!

I'm in the market for a 10" Windows 8.1 laptop/tablet hybrid. Went to the Microsoft Store to play around with a few devices. My trusty iPad first gen has served me well the past two years as my primary device for school work, but I just transfered to a new college and their online website and class systems do not work with iOS or Android, so I have to get a full Windows device for my classes.

My top choice is the Surface Pro 2, but I don't feel like dropping $1600 for a device I am mostly going to be using for school. I tried the 8" tablets, and really liked their light weight and portability, but my hands are big and it was hard to do any kind of hand writing.

So I have decided on a 10". The Asus T100 is my top choice as it comes with a keyboard dock that turns it into a laptop, 64Gb of storage, USB 3.0, and the new Bay Trail quad core Atom, for $370.

I watched a video on Crunchyroll while in the Microsoft Store and everything worked great. I could see an App being made for better touch controls, but since the Asus T100 has a touch pad built into the keyboard, that makes it easier to navigate the website.

For those having problems with using the Crunchyroll player on their Windows tablet due to not being able to access some controls (like exiting full screen) without a keyboard or mouse, you can turn on a virtual trackpad in Windows 8. The guy in the store was swiping on the edge of the screen to hide and show the track pad (I think it was the application switcher he was accessing, I am new to Windows 8 and have never used it before so I was kind of lost in the Metro UI).

So it seems the ASUS Vivotab Note 8 I plan on buying is starting to become more available in the US ( http://www.umpcportal.com/2014/02/asus-vivotab-8-note-now-available-in-usa-plus-first-impressions-from-chippy/ ). Any hints of a Windows 8 app with touch gestures?

Isn't there an Asus tablet coming out soon that dual boots Android and Windows 8.1? I bet that would be pretty useful.

I would also love to see a Win 8 app for CR having gotten a Surface Pro 3 for Christmas. I loved finding that there was an app for iOS which I use at the gym, and a proper app for Win 8 would be awesome.

Hey there, what do you think of skipping Windows 8 and making an universal app for Windows 10?

I'd also like to see a Windows 10 app. I like the one on Windows Phone. Sad that I can't watch on my PC (I'm not installing Flash anymore), but I can watch it on every other device I have.

I'd love to have a windows app, as I have a Win 10 tablet. I find the Android app on my old Nexus 7 to be really useful, and would love to be able to mirror the functionality on my new tablet instead of using the webpage, which is a little clunkier on a touch-only interface.

Although Microsoft is listed as a partner of Crunchyroll, last time I contacted CR about a Windows 10 app (at least for video), they weren't even considering it. While I'm happy with the release schedule, I'd like more support for Windows.
