Personal story written as English essay for Cultural Identity.
It's not perfect. I'm not the best with grammar or spelling.

That face fits the essay.

I get where you are coming from, but I have some issues with the paper. I'm not sure you should quote anime so heavily for a college level assignment. English 101 is usually more about the ability to write than the content so it's not a huge problem. I get the feeling that My Teen Romantic Comedy had a strong impact on you and is having a real effect in the way you think about it. You should analyze how much comes from your own thoughts and what comes from the anime.

I've seen attempts to break loners down into people that choose to be that way and those that are forced into it. I've never agreed with that. People aren't so simple. Are the people choosing to be lone really choosing or do they have a psychological need to be alone for whatever reason? Are the people forced to be alone really being forced or have they simply chosen to give up on not being alone? Sometimes loners aren't even loners.

Your "friends" were douches. You're in college. Spread yourself and meet people if that's what you want. Find a place where you are comfortable and happy while being yourself. Can't find it? Make it. Not saying there is anything wrong with being alone though.

- From someone that is most comfortable and happiest alone in a dark room on a rainy day.

it was a cultural identity essay. So which type of group in society do we see ourselves in. I didn't want to rely too much on quotes, but i felt like it was a necessary evil to help support myself. I used them to help explain the situation in laymens terms basically

Very insightful.

I know from school life it to be too true. How I hated school days. Friends turned out to be people setting me up. I use to believe I'd be picked for sports, despite my size back then I loved them & worked hard to fit in. I was sidelined, every time. Especially cricket. I loved it so much once, then school made me hate people and since then I never played again. I never did play sports again, took such a blow to my confidence.

I remember spring time, even the teachers excluded me from the teams, so I'd sit under the tree or become part of the corner. Anything to escape the cruelty of the masses. Teachers & students alike just assumed I preferred being canon fodder for bullying and solitaire. I grew with hatred for they were different, they knew nothing of the hardship I faced, they even swept it under the rug. As if it never happened, that my suffering, my pain was imagination itself.

Well no more, NO MORE!

For we are the majority, we are the creative people & we are better people outright because we have experienced it 1st hand. And we can do something to help another loner.
