Have you ever had a family member seriously questioned why you're not dating anyone yet?

Yup. They figure since they began looking for a boyfriend or husband at my age, they want me to do the same. xD

I have no clue. D: They only told me they want me to start a family since they feel it is now the right time to do so. Family can be weird sometimes.

This is a good question, luckily i haven't. My parents never say anything about the subject, which is a good thing because it's embarassing and i don't have a proper answer.

I'm 21 and i haven't been in a relationship or (brace yourself) even had my first kiss yet. But to be honest it's not like i'm going out of my way to try and make this happen... Ive always thought it will happen when the time comes.

I'd like to think a family cares enough about you to push you to act.

Good things do NOT come to those who wait. Life is not a story and you are not a protagonist; surprising little can happen to you.

Then again, what do I know?

Despite having a family of people whose lives have pretty much been cemented by having children at a young age and being an exception, I don't actually get much flak for being rather solitary--probably because I'm young. Give it four to six years, however...

Never had a relationship too and parents asking me about it.
My mom always sort of knew I wasn't ready yet.

Yikes!
I don't blame you for not wanting to date girls like that. Have you told your parents that?

You have all the time in the world to date someone you'll definitely love.
Nobody likes a wannabe they only pity them.

Yes, my father tried to set me up with a girl who was a relative of one of his friends. They were getting more pushy about as time went on until that happened.

Once I told them I want to focus on school, and then getting a job before any of that they've backed off though.

So, if your parent's or at least the pushy parent, is Asian, tell them you want to focus on school/work before dating or romance. This will probably work fairly well unless you're in a lower achieving sort of major, or what they consider a lower status job. If you're a Liberal Arts major and aren't going into either Law, or Teaching, it probably won't work, same with jobs.

Also may be less effective if you're female, depends on the individual and the job/major.
