Which anime production studios do you like best and which studios do you think are the power houses of anime? Which studio should people look for down the road as the next break out studio?

Production I.G and Kyoto Animation or KyoAni are the power house studios right now they got the money to put out a lot of anime with Madhouse trailing close behind

I think Ufotable puts out the best but your lucky if you get one a year from them

Kyoto Animation is obviously a top-notch studio. As is Production IG, Sunrise and Bones.

I think PA Works is building towards being the next KyoAni. I also think that J.C Staff doesn't get enough respect for when they put their A-team to anime.

I also think that Silver Link is an up-and-coming studio.

I'd like to assume that Shaft absolutely relies on director Akiyuki Shinbo. Though the first season of Nanoha isn't quite on par, Le Portrait de Petit Cossette seems to embody the same qualities as many of the top notch Shaft productions.

P.A.Works is doing some top notch work lately.
KyoAni has the money, but they don't appear to have a whole lot of drive to do anything different. all their stuff is so samey, it's ridiculous.

I could see Trigger taking off, as long as they don't rely on past glory.

Imo, Kyoto Animation, Production IG, and recently White Fox as well. P.A. Works is also one of my favorites so it has a great potential as well.

I'm just going to put out a few studios that I have respect for.
KyotoAnimation
Shaft
P.A. Works
J.C. Staff
Production I.G
Madhouse Entertainment
White Fox
Silver Link
Ufotable
Bones
Deen

there are still other companies I watch, I still have respect for them but I don't feel that their animation are as good

Lerche
Gainax
AIC Plus+, AIC asta, AIC Build, ...

BONES isn't doing a lot lately (that I know of), but they are still one of my favorites. I also love me some P.A. Works and J.C. Staff has never let me down.

KyoAni makes stuff that I recognize as well done, but hasn't done anything that I would consider a favorite show, so they don't get in my top yet.

Obviously a large fan of Studio Trigger right now, but I don't know what's ahead of them. Right now they're small beans with big talent.

Production I.G. has been the studio to watch for the past 2 years, and they have a very impressive record. They're essentially the Triple A studio.

Kyoani is in the same spot as I.G.

Ufotable, Bones, and Deen are good studio's, but I don't like their animation. They are also past their prime as it's said. Outside of Ufotable, who've got room to grow but they don't have a real niche as of yet...hell, they produce things so slowly it seems. Come on guys, it's the 21st century, MAKE MORE STUFF FASTER! I.G. has made like, 20 anime series since Fate/zero, what'er you doing? Video Game cutscenes? Leave that to Square Enix and make more anime!

Brainbase and Whitefox are the newbies I've got eyes on, Dark horse the two of them.

Gainax's talent has left it, the remaining directors they have I have a strong distaste for. Nothing but female leads with large boobs left.

P.A.Works has some really good work, I don't like the shows they make, but I can't deny the level of quality they're bringing.

And Trigger has 3 unique I.P's, and 1 anime series. Creating new things is probably going to be their gimmick. Besides, it's rather hard to use your past glory if another studio owns the rights to it....I think. Doesn't Gainax technically own Panty and Stocking and Guren Lagann?

Oh....and "past glory" doesn't stop Sunrise from making ANOTHER GOD DAMN GUNDAM CLONE every year....what's it called this time? Valvrave the Liberator? People just stopped watching titled new Gundam shows, so they just rename the shows things like "Code Geass"

I get it, Sunrise is HUGE. They have enough Sub-studio's to fill an entire anime season with only their anime. BUT DAMN IT BE MORE ORIGINAL! Keep the robots, keep the coming of age story, cool. Give me a female lead, or perhaps a kid that isn't a Shinji knock off?

That said, Sunrise does make good shows..I like'em sometimes.

The rest of the studio's don't get a mention, forget about'em.
