Oh....and "past glory" doesn't stop Sunrise from making ANOTHER GOD DAMN GUNDAM CLONE every year....what's it called this time? Valvrave the Liberator? People just stopped watching titled new Gundam shows, so they just rename the shows things like "Code Geass"

Valvrave is much closer to Geass than Gundam. And they make more Gundam series than Gundam-clone series.

Madhouse, Bones, Production I.G. Gainax, Studio Perriot and Toei are what come to mind for me. The latter two are pretty terrible however.

Geass is much closer to Gundam than Valvrave.

Take note, that Geass's plot is a perspective flip of the original Gundam, with Lelouch playing Char's role, and the story focusing on Char/Lelouch and his revenge story instead of Amuro/Suzaku and the military prototype robot story.

Hell, Lelouch, Kallen, and Nunally are clones of Char and his younger sister, but split up. Char's piloting ability goes to Kallen, while Sayla's younger-tough girl sister is split in half. Her non-existant girly side(and it's incestuous undertones) went to Nunally, and her Tomboy-badass went to Kallen.

Then you have the villain clones and the rivals.....man, the only thing Code Geass does that Gundam didn't, is add Jim Carey levels of HAM.

Which is a good thing!

Learning which Gundam Villains the Geass ones are copies of is actually a lot of fun.

The ham is what I was getting at comparing Geass to Valvrave.

BONES isn't doing a lot lately (that I know of), but they are still one of my favorites. I also love me some P.A. Works and J.C. Staff has never let me down.

KyoAni makes stuff that I recognize as well done, but hasn't done anything that I would consider a favorite show, so they don't get in my top yet.

BONES last did Zetsuen no Tempest which ended back in March. They are working on four new titles though! xD

Two for Winter 2014:
Noragami - http://myanimelist.net/anime/20507/Noragami
Space Dandy - http://myanimelist.net/anime/20057/Space☆Dandy

As well as these two which currently have no season:
Hitsugi no Chaika: http://myanimelist.net/anime/20853/Hitsugi_no_Chaika
Captain Earth: http://anilist.co/anime/20446/Captain-Earth

Bones is doing Noragami and Space daddy( winter ) but other than that i dont think they done any recent titles,

One that comes to mind is Blast of Tempest which was awesome ( man that was great show i remember waiting all day for it) and judging from your profile pick you already know that ( laugh)

It seems i was beaten to the punch your getting the same info from the last post and more ( 2 more titles)

Hahahahaha don't worry, I'm well aware they did Blast of Tempest. It just happens to be my all time favorite anime. But that's just one show recently.

Didn't know about the other ones they are working on though.

Madhouse, I.G., and KyoAni rarely disappoint, but I really like P.A. Works and Bones, personally. P.A. can create absolutely gorgeous animation, and Bones has a record of adapting some very unique and creative series.

I haven't seen much from Trigger or Shaft, but what I have seen has been surprisingly good. I'll keep my eye on them.

Shaft is great. When you watch a show made by Shaft you know right away…i love these guys

As for P.A Works do i dont see them in much just here and there. But from what i seen they make beautiful shows

Bones ... Blast of tempest visuals were great and they also made Eurekas Seven ( i dont really want go depth with any of the studios if i do…it woould be very very long so i'll save you the trouble ( laugh) )

The power house studios- These are the biggest i think
Production I.G, Sunrise

As for studios i like are
Bones, Shaft, Diomedia, and Brain Base
Sutdio Deen, Siver link

P.A. Works are very good with animation, Angel Beats! looked really good back in 2010 and the currently airing Nagi no Asukara is one of the most beautiful animes of the season.

Shaft does things a bit different don't they? The visual style of Bakemonogatari is very difficult to get used to.

Bones also did Darker than Black AND Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, don't forget!

Oh! Yes Shaft…Bakemonogatari animation… is something you cant take your eyes off and sometimes you miss things and dialogue ( laugh)

And as for Bones how can you forget about Full Metal Alchemist and Darker than black

I really like the animation sequence from the 2nd op starting at 45sec or 46

Yup yup. They also did Another, Hanasaku Iroha, and Tari Tari. I always found the bloody scenes in Another particularly well done. Only gripe I have with P.A. is that they always do the same kind of high school-themed shows, but that's a general complaint I have for all of anime, haha.

Only Shaft show I have seen is Madoka Magica. I've been meaning to look into the Monogatari series, though.

Ah, Brains Base. I forgot about them. I also really like their work. Add them to my faves with P.A. and Bones! I do not like Deen, though. Never really have. Their animation quality has always been a bit on the subpar side, compared with other studios.

I like most studios but my favourite out of all of them is Kyoto Animation and Sunrise. Because they made really good Animes that I enjoy.
