UPDATE

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the charity fund to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines! With everyone's help, we managed to raise a total of $3,715.04, with every penny being donated to CARE for the typhoon relief efforts.

Our funds may have been collected, but the situation still needs help! If you would like to make additional donations, please check out the various charities and their links below:

American Red Cross

Doctors Without Borders

CARE

NAFCON

For those of you who did donate with the tax and shipping added on, 100% of ALL that amount will be going towards our charity fund, so thank you again for your generosity.

We appreciate everyone's understanding and apologize for the error.

Hey everyone,

As you may have heard recently, Typhoon Haiyan devastated the Philippines on November 8, leaving thousands dead in its wake and millions more without shelter or supplies.

Crunchyroll would like to help out with the relief efforts that are still ongoing, and so we are starting a relief fund where your donations will go towards helping the recovery effort. No matter how large or small, every bit helps and 100% of your donation amount will be donated to the organization CARE.

If you would like to make a donation, please see our Daily Deal, which will be running throughout the weekend as well. We will be continuing to take donations until next Friday, November 22 in the Crunchyroll Store: http://www.crunchyroll.com/store/p/79038/Donation-to-Philippines-Relief-Fund

We will be updating the post once we've selected the charity and when the donation window ends with the total amount collected.

If you wish to donate directly to another organization, please check out the charities below:

American Red Cross

Doctors Without Borders

CARE

NAFCON

Thank you for your support.

The problem the Philippines' Government should also be tackling is looting by murder. I saw the news this evening about a person who got killed by some robbers in Tacloban for his relief resources. That someone is a father of two. The daughter went to the police, reporters, and a person in military uniform(relief aid personnel?) on her knees crying "God! Sirs! Please get the person who killed my father!" with tears on her face, her mouth in a downward curve in great grief.

There is a quest of whether the relief fund should be air dropped or given from land.

From land there is considerable order, but from air people who are wounded wouldn't have to line up.

P.S. the world knows it as Haiyan but the Philippines calls it Yolanda. Relief funds given to people are resources of water, food, and clothes.

I'm from the Philippines and all i can say is--- the people are working hard. getting the donations is easy but the transport is hard... i've heard about 2-5 ships send it daily.. it will get faster soon enough... my school also had a relief goods drive today to help the victims of the typhoon Haiyan locally called Yolanda.

Thank you crunchyroll!!!

The question is being looked into. Customer service and up should be able to answer that.

I went to the Philippines a number of times when I was in the Navy. Most of those people had little and those affected by the typhoon will have even less now. This is a very worthy cause. I'm passing on this because I've already made an addition contribution for the Philippines to the charity I already support that provides aid to third world countries. I urge everyone who possibly can to give something. Even a few dollars can help and a few dollars from a number of people will add up to making a real difference.

This was an error on our part but it has now been resolved, and any user that did make a donation before will have 100% of their payment go towards the fund, including whatever was charged for shipping and taxes.

Cool I figured that would happen so I just donated anyway. We were promised 100% and we got it. That's all I can ask for.
