What does that have to do with what we were talking about?

You or the thread?

~~

Pandora Hearts.

I'm asking because I didn't get the connection to my comment on my hating the show Earl and Fairy. You're just naming another anime that takes place/inspired by Europe. It wasn't a reply to my comment personally, it was a reply to this thread. So why did you quote my reply in the first place if you were just going to reply to the thread?

In regards to name one you didn't hate.

… shinkyoku soukai polyphonica

But in general it is part of a bigger masterful plan that is not related to you or your affiliates.

Yep, unless my memory has failed me =/. It's been 4-5 years since I watched it so I don't remember that well

Baccano is set in New York and a train from Chicago -> New York. Deals with Italian mafioso so probably areas are the Italian quarter of NY.

Spice & Wolf is Europe, probably Germany as the locale and climate seems to match (generally flat, colder Northern territories, Holos homecountry could be around Norway/Sweden). I think the coin merchant that Lawrence goes to check the Trinni's weight at is speaking French and Lawrence exclaims "So you learned French?"

Fate/ Zero has the Von Einzbern mansion somewhere in Germany, probably near the Alps given the heavy snowfall and mountains nearby.

One I just remembered, Fractale. Set on an island very closely based off Inishmore on the West Irish coast, also Galway city. Seen some comparison pics and its the same situation like Japanese districts and straight copy of buildings and streets. Must watch it, heard tis meant to be very "twiddly iddly idly" style Irish

I might be thinking of the wrong anime but I think there's a part of Soul Eater (or maybe it was Fate/Zero I can't remember ) where they're in Florence, Italy. I can remember it just because I was amazed by the level of detail that had been put into the scene.

A Little Snow Fairy Sugar: Based on an actual German town called Rothenburg
Master Keaton: Mainly England but travels across Europe.
Petite Croisse: 19th Century Paris
L/R Licensed by Royalty: So English...

Parts of Castle in the Sky are based on Wales.

Castle of Cagliostro starts in Monaco and then shifts to central Europe with the fictional Duchy of Cagliostro.

Howl's Moving Castle is set in a fantasy version of Europe and was based on a book by British writer Diana Wynne Jones.

The history of Wales and the struggles of the Welsh miners made a big impression on Miyazaki. He even traveled to Wales to do research for the movie.
