I tried something like this, but when you already have a bad impression
or people already used to ignore you.

If you change too much, people can't cope, they freak out and exclude you even more.

This is just personal experiences.

I know what you mean? I was a sex addict until I forcibly ignored everything, got addicted to something completely different and i'm now celebrating 2 years of practicing safe and rare sex. Congrats me.

Bettering yourself starts with action not words. However it isn't only action, but philosophy. If you don't think well enough to be better and act upon those thoughts, you're fooling yourself that you've improved. Great example of not improving yourself is like fat people who say they're on a diet but they still eat a whole box of diabetes every day.

Wtf is this? Two opposite pikachus.

Adopt the scientific attitude and apply it to everything you do.

My experience with it has been it's something you have to feel you have to do with a burning passion. I've encountered two such situations in my life. Both times I experienced a lot happiness and pain along the way.

I learned a lot from both experiences.

Good man!
... Although, there's probably more room for morals than just reading.
Also, pretty much everything is just a matter of habits. The bad things we do
(things that have bad results that we don't like) are bad habits, and we should
get rid of them. The good things we do (things that have good results that we
like) are good habits, and we should develop more of them. The measure of
someone's wisdom is pretty much in how good they are at talking themselves
IN to the good habits, and OUT of the bad ones. Everything else is just a way
to get there.

Oh, and Jim Jarmusch quote:

"Don't let the fuckers get ya."

You only need millions of years, many, many dying with a few grudgingly managing to survive long enough to reproduce, get the gene flow right, align the allelic variances, and bam! you got it.
