This is assuming that you're not Japanese because that would be a pretty normal and also assuming something that's not too out there. I think something like setsuna would be a nice name.

Definitely, if I didn't name him after a Greek mythology character first...

Yes, I would. There are many Japanese names I'm fond of.

Yeah I'd give him one that teachers would have a hard time saying, you know, just to make school even harder. (Muhahahahahahaha)

I don't think I would. I rather give my child a name fitting to the awesomeness I ooze out, so I'll most likely think up a name I'd use while taking a shower and pulling out my anus hair.

Yes. But like most Japanese Americans it would be a middle name, and not a first name.

I think it's your duty as a parent to help your kid experience challenge early on in life, and one of the best ways is to give them a name that really catches other people's attention, right? A kind of name that will really help them meet a diversity of kids at school and encounter situations that will build character, and possibly even a tough body. And if they end up resenting you for your parental obligation, well they can change it later on!

*Note: This is mostly sarcasm. Please name your child responsibly!

Shannyn Sossamon named her child Audio Science, so I don't see why you couldn't give your child a Japanese name if this chick is naming her child after a sound and school subject. I mean, I'm Japanese and my first name originates from England or Normandy, so I don't see why this isn't applicable to a Japanese name given to someone from a different race.

Either way, if I do have a child or children, they will most likely carry the same tradition as my family. A Caucasian first name with a Japanese middle name.

Masashige was a name of a distant relative of mine and I've always loved it - especially the meaning behind it as well.

Only if I had a Japanese wife lol. Otherwise I would probably just seem like a ridiculous otaku (Which isn't far off, I just dont want EVERYONE to see me that way)

No, kids have to grow up with these names don't forget lol. Schools tough enough, especially with my genes, ginger with a japanese name would set the bullied bar pretty high hahaha

Unless i married a japanese girl of course *fingers crossed*
