If I were to have any more children (which I'm not! 2 is enough ), I would absolutely consider it. It would have be simple, easy to spell/pronounce and most importantly, meaningful.

I've thought of giving my children a Japanese nickname if they want one. Asking for the name itself I won't know until I actually find a partner and have children.

Only if they were part Japanese, I gave my children Korean middle names because they are 50% Korean.

I'd name them numbers first. For instance, 0664 is really nice. But if that didn't work out, then yes. Tetsuya, Tatsuya, Tanaka, Kanada, Takada, Kanade, etc., sound nice.

Nope.

Medina Azahara for a girl..

Jhudiel Lawrence for a boy...

There's also Almira and Ramiel, but no second names for those yet.

No, I already promised myself to name my kids after my parents. But I would name my pet something japanese
Posted 11/20/13
Probably not, though I do think many Japanese names are pretty.

I'd name all my kids after book characters (Annie Laurie), authors (Harper Lee), or songs (Penny Lane)...etc. etc. (Apparently from my selections, I'm going to have female kids only...XD)

Why not just call them Thing 1, Thing 2...etc.

Since i don't speak Japanese i might name my kid something naughty or embarrassing by accident, so my answer to the title question would be "no".

the trick is to name them a japanese name that can pass as a Caucasian name as well. I've had a name picked out for my daughter since I was 14... is that weird at all?

I don't think I would give a Japanese names to my child because I'm not that into Japanese.
I do like some Japanese names that are really simple and easy to understand like Yuki, Ame, and Suki.
I prefer four letter words the most in Japanese because they sound so amazing.

I'm more into French names the most because they sound so elegant. I like all French names more than any other origin.
