30,000 players get trapped in Elder Tale. Players in the group start at level 1 and join the game during its 'no logout' period on the Japan server. To start off please read the rules that Wolf (Nejineji131) kindly set up. http://www.crunchyroll.com/group/Log_Horizon/pages/guidebook

Okay now the official start, players will all start off with one ability each until they start leveling up, which they acquire the rest one by one that they created in the RP registration. For starting this RP, you first need to post your entrance post which you end up in Elder Tale and explore. Then you join a group of other people, aka guilds or other members. If you want to start a guild, the amount of people you need is 3. There is also a main guild building containing obtainable halls to discuss guild operations and such if you get 7 players in your guild. All other npc adventurers are all higher level than all of you, so train hard and try not to die. Also please follow these three main rules for controlling other objects in the RP:

1. You can only control yourself and other npcs.
2. Use 3rd Person for all posts.
3. Be Realistic, you can die in this game so you can't be a god in this RP. Also if you're facing a strong enemy or enemies, you should be realistically dealing with them.

And after all that is said, have fun with this RP.

The current scenario is:

A batch of players spawned in the middle of the combat zone. Surrounded by monsters of a slightly higher level than the group, they must either work together or die alone.

--It isn't known whether death is currently safe.
--Town [Zone 1] Akihabara, is close enough that one can barely make it alive by themself.
--All players are currently under level 10
--Each player has 1 health and mana pot.
--Weapons are starting weapons
--Depending on class, players only have 1-2 skill(s) at the moment. (And yes this included the very basic, "Double Strike", but excludes the simple "Attack" command.)

Good Luck. Have Fun.

Wolf looked around. This isn't my room, he thought as he caught a glimpse at the greenery that surrounded him. One minute he was playing, and the next minute he was outdoors. Not only that, but there were other people with him.

Glancing closer at the people around him, Wolf noticed they had weapons on them and that's when Wolf noticed the screen interface. He was inside the game!

Wolf's thoughts raced as he attempted to figure out what to do. We need to get to safety. Monsters could spawn and I'm not sure what level they are. First, we should return to town. Now, the real question is, can we trust each other?

Wolf took a deep breath and then cleared his throat. "Uh, Hello everyone," the 6'5" giant began. His golden eyes, black hair, wolf ears, and tail made him stand out. He glanced at his wooden two handed sword. "I'm not quite sure what's going on, but we should probably go back to town first." Being a Monk class, he was sure he had a better chance of making it out alive, but looking around, not everybody was the same. Wolf's skill set makes it so that he is the weakest of the warrior type classes at the early levels. As the game progresses though, he'll become one tough cookie to crack. "I'll lead the way."

Trust is the biggest issue at the moment, but who would want to venture out on their own. As Wolf raised his hand up, he gestured the group in his direction. What is going to happen next?

Vosmeer shakes his head. He felt a strange dizziness and blur. After half a minute or so, he regain vision and cannot believe his own eyes. Forestation that is beyond the capability of his government lay in front of his eyes. There are also people with similar shocked or blank expressions around Vosmeer.

There were shouting and yelling that made thinking difficult. But somehow Vosmeer managed to realize the familiar scenery in which he had remember seeing it over and over again. The game he was patching last night and logged on just a second ago had similar back...ground? A cold shiver runs down his spine, Vosmeer thought of the impossible. He is in the GAME?

Vosmeer quickly slap himself to regain control of his body and search for useful information and was able to manage the interfaces that are similar to that of the game. He glanced at his skills and equipment and is disappointed to find that he is in a character he was trying out for the first time, Bard. A basic lute, wooden short sword, old short bow, and barely acceptable light armors. Skills with a defensive skill "Riposte" and an area spell special to bard 'Hymn of the Night". "Can't make it to safety alone, Bard is too weak solo, what is the death penalty? Will I die?" the thought stuck in his mind. Vosmeer shook his head trying to break away from the horror and "I need to find people I can work with. But who? Who can I trust?"

Vosmeer was deep in thought until he heard a commotion, a Wolf Hair, likely warrior class is trying to gather people to safety. Vosmeer sees the chance and approach the monk. Raising his lute to show the monk Vosmeer's class and await for an invitation.

Under the cold expression, Vosmeer can hear his own heart racing, hated his current position, Vosmeer thought to himself, "This is the last time I will rely on the group..."

Kaito spawns into the combat zone with a bright shining light enveloping his body and a thud on the soft ground. Kaito lands on the ground face-first on the virtual ground.

"Tehtehtehtehteh," Kaito grimaces in pain.

He picks himself and stares at the other two already there. Kaito dusts off his beginner pants. He senses many eyes staring upon him. He looks out to the surrounding woods and sees some strange little beasts in the darkness of the shadows. He's confused. The starting town for spawn was Akihabara, so why were they here, level 1 in a dangerous place like this. He sees some points on the ground, indicating that others were going to spawn. Kaito just logged in to Elder Tale and just registered yesterday. There was no warning when he was sucked into the game, and it threw him onto the ground. 'What an unlucky way to spawn,' Kaito thought.

Some of the spawning monsters creep out of the shadows. A name appears above their heads.

<Brier Weasal Level 15>

"What the heck is this, a level 15 right when we start? Is anyone here higher than a level 1?" He asks the other two that are already there. Kaito looks into his inventory and equips the beginner knife and the health and mana potion. He also opens the cork of the EXP flask and chugs it down. He read on the information site that players receive EXP potions until they get to Level 30. He readies his knife in his left hand. 'This isn't SAO. This isn't SAO. This isn't SAO,' he tries to comfort himself with those words. The weasels approach the group. This was suicide. What would happen to them, now?

Kaito checks the interface provided to all adventurers. There, only one ability is unlocked. "Mirage," Kaito confirms aloud. He touches the skill picture to see what it does. The user creates mirror images of themselves used to evade enemies. How many depends on the level. As Kaito reads this description, his face darkens with every word. It's a dodging skill. With only this, he'd have to rely on the others to defeat all the surrounding monsters. Nobody knew what the death penalty was now. He could die in this world. That was a scary thought he had to get out of his mind. There was no time for sullen thoughts at a critical life-or-death situation like this. The huge guy that towered over both him and the bard suddenly spoke with a booming voice,"Uh... Hello everyone." It wasn't intended to be loud, but with that voice box, no matter how hard that man would try, his voice would be loud and startling. Kaito answers back to the giant, "Hey. My names Kaito. We need to keep these weasels away, others are spawning here. We can't allow them to be in the crossfire." Kaito takes a deep breath. He sighs. There was no chance of surviving this without sacrifice. He was planning to divert these monsters' attention. He needed to create an opening for the others to escape. Even if the others don't agree with him, he would give his life to save other, more valuable lives.

Lands in the forest with Kaito and looks up "What.... The...... HELL!" gets up and pulls out my shortsword looks at the levels of the monster and looks at Kaito and the large person. "Any of you know whats going on?" As I say this I move and slash a weasels side and continue dodging and striking them "Well?" I stab a briar weasel into the ground with my sword and spin it around jump as another one comes pulls the sword out and kicks a weasel in the face stabs the one that passed me and then with my other foot I land on the weasel that I stabbed into the ground moments before. "Man this is a pain....." A player spawns as I say this and runs for his life towards the huge town I sigh and curse under my breath

The Bard approached Wolf first. He raised his lute and a smile came to Wolf's face. The rare seen class, the Bard, was a very valuable member to any party.

"Would you care to join me?" Wolf asked the music playing aide. The Bard was a great support class with a hint of range damage. Wolf's Monk class was a great front line damage dealer and the strongest of all of the tank classes. Unfortunately, warrior classes are the weakest, besides the support classes, at any level prior to 30. At any level after 70, they are absolutely necessary in any raid. But will Wolf stay alive until then?

More players began to spawn and from behind himself he heard a voice. "Hey. My names Kaito. We need to keep these weasels away, others are spawning here. We can't allow them to be in the crossfire."

"Any of you know what's going on?" Another player asked. He began to make combat with the monsters over 10 levels higher than any of them.

"Careful," Wolf said but he was too late. Wolf rushed to his aide. The player stabbed a weasel downwards but it didn't lock into the ground. Wolf activated his first of two moves. "Double Strike." With the sight of only one punch, it made two sounds and inflicted damage twice.

It barely did any damage due to how high its level was, but it was knocked away at least. The player continued to wail away randomly.

"Let gather close and move as one."

Kaito notices two of them break away from the group. A strange huge gust of wind begins to play across the battleground and Kaito can only see the huge man's mouth moving silently. They were having serious trouble with the Weasels. No one knows what happens when you died, but no one wants to find out because it could mean actual death. Kaito runs up to the two, jumping up over the huge guy's head and slices the knocked back Weasel with his knife. It isn't enough, so he attacks again with more force in his strikes. The others begin to close in again, recognizing the threat. Kaito and the huge man move back a few paces to avoid any trap the Weasels can muster. There was no way they could kill them all. Kaito has only one option. Mirage. If they could create an opening in the Weasel formation, then they could lead them away from the spawners.

Kaito devises a plan quickly in his head, running a few scenarios. He figures one out that could work.

"Hey big guy, can you attack the Weasels I hit?" Kaito asks the huge man next to him, "We could create an opening with a diversion attack. Just attack the ones you see have decreased health and we can clear a path that can last maybe a few seconds. If we fail, we all die. Are you ready for this?"

Kaito steps back and readies his knife by his side. To any onlooker, it looks like he's trying to imitate a sword, which could be seriously laughed at. Kaito concentrates on his body. As if there was aura, his body diverts into two separate people. He had 6 seconds to act. He jumps toward the Weasels with both copies and starts slashing, his real one actually doing damage. The Weasels' health decreased to 75% each to the ones he stroke. 6 seconds pasted and he only hit 4. 4 weasels. This would have to make do.

Kaito stands right in the middle of the horde of Weasels. This was the end. He kept frantically swiping them with his knife but it only did 1% damage.

Hearing the question of the monk, Vosmeer nodded in approval. Looking around Vosmeer needs to decided what to do next.

Vosmeer examines the situation. Roughly around 9 Briar Weasels, each with 28 level, have surrounded the group of players/adventurers. Vosmeer frowned, 2 assassins and one monk, not enough front line to hold the monsters. Crossing off the option to slay the monsters in his own mind, Vosmeer quickly recognize the position they are in. There is only one way. Decided in his head, Vosmeer speaks to the monk, "Can't fight, we must run as soon as possible." The monk's expression displays agreement.

Vosmeer shouts to rest of the players, "Move your feet! Don't linger to fight, knock them away! We will make a break for it!"

Vosmeer strokes his lute, "Night of Hymn" and an aura of black and grey spread across the battlefield. Instantly he felt a strange power that seems to lift his body by a slight.

Vosmeer shouted at one of the assassins, "Use your mirage skill and lead some of the weasels away" and he point the direction of closes town to the monk, signalling it is time to get out of here.

Kaito hears the bard shout to him. He checks his skill cool down with one finger. 20 seconds left. The monk needs to buy some time. Kaito's health was dropping fast from 200. In 6 seconds after, it was down to 100. Kaito kept slashing at the many Weasels surrounding him. This other guy who jumped in handled four of them, but they were both taking heavy damage. If this kept up, both of them would die. The song played by the bard, increased some inner strength within, but it still wasn't enough to kill any of these Weasels. The lowest one was still at 45% health. The rest on 70%. The option of running was at risk. 7 seconds left. If the monk doesn't attack using his skills, then we will all die. Kaito believes its his fault for the failure. He cannot stand getting bested without any resistance.

The bard played his melody and agreed to the escape plan. "Let's get out of here! It's too dangerous," Wolf said. In the back of his mind, he knew more players were going to spawn in this area. They had to at least lead the monsters away before completely reaching safety. "Let's bring the monsters elsewhere! Other Players seem to be spawning here."

Wolf noticed the guy named Kaito and the reckless one losing in combat. Wolf had to step in, after this was all over, he would be able to introduce himself.

Wolf had two skills. One of them he already used; Double Strike. It was on a very short 8 second cool down. As he leveled higher, it would become half that. His second skill was his gap closer; Tempest. Striking three times at about 1/5 of his normal damage, Wolf is forced into a triple front flip while closing the gap to his enemies. It was a very weak move that should never be used for its damage but its style and utility makes it a very required move in combat.

Since Wolf had a long, wooden 2-H sword, he looked like a hedgehog when he activated the skill. The world was spinning around him and he had no idea where he was going, when the skill stopped, he was dangerously in between Kaito and several of the monsters. Wolf had to act quick. He used Double Strike about 7 seconds ago, but anything can happen in 1 second.

He executed the normal "Attack" command and noticed he didn't even dent the monster's hp. His chance opened up! "Double Strike!" The move had a slight knock back so Wolf used it on every monster he could from within his range. "Let's pull out of here. Assassins, lead the way. I'll protect the bard. Also, make sure the monsters are following. This place needs to be monster free."

Sweat is climbing down Kaito's face. His health is decreasing by the minute. 50, 40, 30. His health was dropping toward death. Suddenly the monk spins in with a triple somersault. It seems like a spectacle. All eyes are on the monk as though it attracted everything toward it. Even the Weasels are staring at him. The monk finishes his landing, and all the Weasels run toward him. He uses double strike and knocks many flying. None disappear, but a path opens up in the formation. The other assassin runs out of the circle. Kaito rushes to the monk's side and knocks some Weasels to the side, to allow the huge man to escape.

"Everyone run!" Kaito shouts, "I'll hold them back so you guys have a chance of surviving."

Kaito opens up a one man path to allow the monk to get out. Kaito could tell that this guy could lead this monster pack away from the spawning place. The path lasts for one second before closing again with the Weasels. The monk is out of the circle, but Kaito is now encircled by the Weasels. The path behind him also closed off by the Weasels. 'Never leave a comrade behind' Kaito justified in his head after that reactant action.

"This is my sacrifice," Kaito whispers to the monk, "Don't waste it. No matter what happens, you must get everyone to Akihabara. Sayonara."

With that last word, Kaito is engulfed by the little varmints. 30. 20.10. 0. The health of Kaito disappears entirely in one instant. The shape of the human disintegrates into blue lines heading straight into the lit sky. Kaito is gone. Nothing left remains. The Weasels raise their heads and stare at the monk. Their next meal.

Algodis awoke to a town in which looked familiar to him. He sat up, confused, and noticed where he was. He took a look at himself and smiled.
"Elder Tale...Alright!!" Algodis said to himself as he started to walk around the town which he woke up in. Algodis looked at his levels and got depressed.
"All that time I spent playing the game and leveling up..ugh. Guess I gotta start again. Level 1..."

Amon was groggy sitting up. "This isn't my bed... This isn't nearly as comfy." Amon yawned as he sat up and hit his head on what felt like a branch. Amon laid back down again and heard the rustle of leaves. Amon's eyes shot open as his mind registered what was happening and rushed up again only to hit his head on the branch again. "Ow." Amon rubbed his forehead as he scooted himself away from the tree. Amon looked around and was wondering what was going on, but then looked at the corner of his eye to see part of an interface. "What the heck?" Amon thought as he looked at it and then realized where he had seen it from. "WHAT IS GOING ON??!!" Amon screamed out as he looked around. Everything looked like the game but he still couldn't believe that he was in Elder Tale.

Amon looked around for something that he knew, something that looked familiar, something from the real world but saw nothing. Amon stumbled around the woods for a little bit and heard screaming and battling. Amon ran over to see a small group of people, who were also level one, fighting level 15 monsters. "Are these guys crazy?" Amon thought to himself as he tried to get in-between the monsters and the players. As soon as he rushes towards the monsters he sees a player corral the monsters as the rest of them sprint away to safety. Amon was about to sprint to the player when he saw the player die. Amon had no idea if you could respawn in this new world and felt sadness for this new player. Amon sprinted after the rest of the players. As he cleared the distance towards them he saw a bard, and assassin, and a monk. It seemed as though the monk was heading the group. Amon yelled at the group to follow him and rushed them to the closest town. Akihabara. The group arrived at the front gate to the city away from the combat zone and Amon stopped to catch his breath. "Sorry for not introducing myself. The name is Amon. Is everybody okay?"
