Well, that was an interesting twist. I have to revise my initial opinion of Pudding and climb back on the fence regarding her character. At this point, I think there are two possible outcomes of this scene and we've already seen at least one of the results of this meeting... I think. I'm a bit confused now about where, exactly, this fits within the timeline, as we have multiple conflicts occurring simultaneously.

I think I will stick with my assessment of Oda's regular inclusion of initially antagonistic female characters who are sympathetic to the Straw Hats, though I will tentatively place Reiju in that role now, rather than Pudding. This issue confirms it, as far as I'm concerned, but there IS still the possibility that Pudding has her own plans, independent of the ones her mother or the Vinsmokes have in mind for the couple. The fact that she's expounding on what those plans are to people with a vested interest in stopping them (both the Straw Hats and Rejiu) makes me wonder about her motives. I suppose we'll have to wait until next week.

I'll still give the benefit of the doubt to Pudding but if Oda jukes us with more Pudding character twists, I'm gonna need bionic knees

Wowzers! Things are not looking good for Sanji and the others.

With all the build-up of the Vinsmokes being absolute bastards, this twist makes it seem like the Strawhats may be fighting back to back with at least some of them.

While it would be interesting to see Pudding pull a triple cross by burning Big Mom herself, I'm starting to suspect she's just another dark horse female character like Monet. Just interesting enough to want her on the crew, but still rotten to the core.

I think most of us knew that Pudding was up to no good. Apart of me wonders if it's acting or a personality disorder.

I'm thinking it is more acting. Those flashback of her sister Lola makes me think she is planning to destroy this wedding.

I don't even know why I think it's a personality disorder. Maybe because when she revealed the third eye.

I feel this chapter was completely underwhelming. It didn't shock me at all, instead I just felt like the plot was made unnecessarily more difficult by this revelation. We all know that the Straw Hats will inevitably come out on top, so making things even more 'bleak' feels pointless. Some random thing will happen that will throw everything into chaos, where the Straw Hats thrive. If this is the beginning of that chaos, then fine, but I'd like to see things moving along a little faster. This is basically business as usual, with everything being put into place so that there will be maximum chaos when everything finally gets moving. I guess I was hoping that things would start to take shape sooner rather than later this time.
In short, I can't wait for Luffy to beat everybody up and send them all flying to the ends of the New World.

I wasn't surprised at Pudding turning on them either. I'm ready to move on too. I need my Law fix and motivation for my fanfics of him. Besides my fangirl needs, I really wanna know if we're going to get some actual interactions between the Heart Pirates and the Straw Hats. I hope so. I hope Oda doesn't just push the Hearts aside and just shows small clips of them. I think they'd have a lot of fun with the Straw Hats.

I was pretty shocked by Pudding. I liked her character and thought that she would join Sanji when he got back to the Strawhats. Welp, I hope Nami shows up and kicks Pudding in the face.

Pudding could have some ulterior motive for her doing this. We don't know if she's really planning to follow Big Mom's 'Red Wedding' plan (or partly, keeping Sanji and the StrawHats alive)

I still believe she could be an Ally.
So for this reason, all we can do is doubt to her (Besides, Robin also kinda did the thing (not saying that she will join the StrawHats if proven ally))

Okay then. Off the fence with regards to Pudding. My only question now:

That said, I feel terribly bad for Sanji. The look on his face was that of a man for whom all hope is gone, and whose heart has been shattered into tiny pieces and ground into powder. Even his cigarettes and lighter won't come through for him. It's the face of rock-bottom.

On the other hand, JINBEI!!!! Good God, we've missed you so much! Welcome back!

Ok, my point of view is reversed now. I no longer believe she could become an ally, unless she knew Sanji would be standing there.
