I would love to see more J-dramas. There are so many different ones from the silly to the serious and in between and it would definitely have me hang around mor. While anime is good, I still like regular shows too.

yes and yes! ever since I joined I wondered why we dont have a J Dorama section. I started with Hana Yori Dango which is an amazing adaptation and watched a lot of others from there. One Litre of Tears is great as well. Please add a J Dorama section

Well good news, Dramafever has picked up several more J-dramas, and I found out DF just picked up a Taiga Drama from NHK.

I used to watch J-dramas quite a bit in the mid 2000s. I'd like to seem them here. I mostly focused on ones with at least some pop culture or anime/manga related spin to them like Densha Otoko, [email protected], and Nodame Cantabile. Though others like Pride, Bus Stop, Strawberry on the Short Cake, and Good Luck were good too after giving them a chance.

Just wanted to add another vote for YES for Jdrama. The stuff is fantastic. I've loved every single one I've watched and I would love if my god tier membership included it. So yeah, please do!

I prefer J-Drama to K-Drama. Some of the best anime adaptions are made for Japan. Psychic Detective Yakumo, Young Kindaichi Case Files Returns, Detective Conan, DoS Deka, Angel Heart, Deka Wanko, Ouroboros, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney, Detective School Q, The Perfect Insider, Arakawa Under the Bridge and Xxxholic are some stars that shine. Some of my favorite non-anime titles that stand out are Konkatsu Deka, Siren, Jiu and Ishi no Mayu. If you can't tell, anime adaptions, detective dram and detective comedy are my bag, baby!

I'd like things like Sukeban Deka, Majisuka Gakuen, Tank Top Fighter and so on. Soap operas and romantic comedies not so much.

How do we get new J-Drama titles on here? Almost all the shows feature Tokyo tower and/or Shibuya Crossing instead of Skytree as the icon of Tokyo.

The problem is it seems that since early 2016 there are no new J-Dramas on this site!

They have been reducing live action stuff on here little by little so I doubt we would see any J Dramas in the future

I myself Do enjoy J-Drama. Especially the ones that were adapted from the BL Manga. (Those ones tend to follow the manga more than the regular het manga adaptions do)

I recently watched Seven Days (adapted from the manga of the same name) It followed the manga to a T, I was so shocked.

And then there was Doushite Furetakunai, I watched that and the more I watched it the more it seemed familiar... Finally Figured out that I had read that manga as well. Very very few changes were made. Mostly location changes and not story changes.

I then watched Ai no Kotodama. This is probably the most changed (and for the better) out of the ones I listed, The changes were add ons to fill out the story more and give it more context. I do say I liked the J-Drama of Ai no Kotodama better than the manga.

I've taken notice that BL manga has a better chance at a LA adaption over an anime adaption, I've seen more smut in some of the anime CR gets than in those 3 I've listed above so hopefully we can start getting some of the BL J-dramas for the BL fanbase? I see the questions in the help section all the time. Where because BL doesn't get made into anime often, there isn't much to grab from (that or its just more on the Yaoi (smuttier) side of things so we 'can't' get it here) the J-drama's keep their stuff pretty tame so maybe.. please? ;D

On to NON-BL J-drama:
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji: This J-drama, started out boring, they changed WAY to much in my opinion and only got good near the end (and they didn't even finish the story, it ends pretty much around where the anime ended.. the manga continues on to show more of the relationship between the two and other hurtles they come across)

My Love Story: Very good, didn't really follow the manga/anime, a lot was changed. The Drama was too fast, they concentrated mostly on the main characters misunderstanding for a majority of the movie. But it was still a good movie, and it would be nice to see that one come to Crunchyroll.
(Also watched; Hell Girl, Sailor Moon, Ouran High School Host Club, and Azumi)

I also like the Kamen Rider Series and the Sentai series. I know we get Ultraman so I hope one day we can get the other Tokusatsu series as well.

As you all may have noticed, I tend to stick with J-Dramas based off manga. oxo The few I've watched that weren't based on manga (as far as I know) where the ones on crunchyroll like Time Taxi for example. I do hope we can get more J-Drama on CR. More things to watch when I'm in one of my "i don't feel like anime" moods. xD I don't watch K-Drama. For some reason, the K-Dramas give me a headache (which is weird because K-music doesn't do that.. odd) so I just stick to J-Dramas.

Ah.. my 2 cents on J-drama. o3o

Adding J-drama to the line up would be amazing! I think drama's that have known seiyuu would attract a good amount of people. The drama "49" with Nishino Nanase was pretty funny. Hopefully Crunchyroll decides to add more dramas; I went from watching anime, to reading manga, to finally watching dramas. Having diversity on a website is very good! A great wait to cater to a difference group of fans.
