Well typical Honda Civic Si is just about as fast as you really can get at this point. Tuning it even more simply turns into something that's simply not a Honda Civic Si anymore. And how much people spend on modding them, people might as well buy themselves faster, more performance made cars. So i am not exactly in love with modded Civics.

Ehh, they are ok but I hate when asshats drive like they own the road and have huge exhaust tips. x.x

See, once I've gotten my license I'm looking at entering rallycross or rallying, and the civic actually gets a decent amount of customer support for UK motorsport, so I get quite interested in that. Street modding is mostly nonsense though.

If you get a 4 cyl, it better be a boxer layout or you're just screwing around.

It's just a damned car like any other car. It gets me from A to B. And sometimes from B to A, or C or friggin D, or even K and Z if I have to stretch it. I don't care what it looks like as long if it doesn't break down before I get to where I'm going. I have enough money to drive a car that's worth up to $100000 but I don't because it's retarded.

Best comment, IMO.
I got my first car for that same reason and with it was great gas mileage, 29 / 32 and it will have a chance to save your life with 6 airbags.

I knew a guy years ago that had one all riced out. The best part about it was when he was taking off across the parking lot after work trying to be all bad ass and his muffler (which was duct taped on) fell off and started dragging on the ground behind the car.

I 100% approve of those kinds of modifications. They're absolutely hilarious.

I have a Honda Accord V6 w/Vtec, so I really have no need to modify it because it already performs so nicely, but civics on the other hand.....they really only get modified for looks, and some actually look petty nice. But others...not so nice, what I really don't like is the mufflers/exhaust, they try to make it sound fast but it just sounds weak compared to real sports cars. I would rather have a dumpy civic then a ford, chevy, pontiac, or any other american brand cars because they are built to break down, unlike Honda, Toyota, and Nissan.

I'd rather pay my bills than do something stupid to a car. If I owned a Civic I'd probably just drive it stock until the day it died. Then get another cheap car with decent gas mileage and do the same thing. As it is I've been driving a 2001 Kia Rio for the last ten years and it's still in pretty decent shape.

It's good for a laugh when I see someone bottom out while trying to look like a badass with their rattly subwoofers and retarded sounding mufflers. But it's a lot less funny when the teenager across the street who drives around in the middle of the night is one of these people...

Being in a university city with lots of rich.... (i mean extremely rich - few guys own maseratis.... like da fuq?) .... asian students who mostly come from China and somehow afford Audi R8's and BMW M3's I always chuckle when I see modded civics. Personally some look good but are extremely impractical... It's usualyy Arabic people who own the civics (or really cheap mercedes) and just want to look cool. It's annoying as hell personally, hearing them all the time every friday night.

My philosophy is this. If it saves me money while driving on gas, looks decent stock, goes the speed limit... then it's a perfect car for me. Never got the point of owning cars that go extremely fast... When will you ever be able to legally go as fast as some of these cars go. Anything more than a v6 is pointless. Eventually I'll upgrade to a luxury vehicle if I can afford it... but sports, two seaters are completely pointless. Give me a hatchback any day and Im happy
