Am I the only one that was kinda disappointed in the PS4 launch titles? I was hoping for a good Japanese title to come out of it but I'm stuck playing sequels I love but wish there was a good JRPG or something new, you know?

Idk, it's a great console and everything, just feel like that initial line up wasn't the best.

The last time there was a good console launch in terms of it's initial games I would say has to be back when the N64 was released, so I'm not very surprised that the launch titles aren't that great. (IMO)

However, at least Killzone Shadowfall makes use of most if not all of the PS4's new features along with having absolutely gorgeous graphics, also, I find the campaign to be very interesting, have not tried multiplayer yet

Knack is pretty fun but a bit disappointing, the Pixxar look some may say is pretty aesthetic but as a launch title, it doesn't really do much in utilizing the new features the PS4 has :(

Just my 2 cents anyway, only game I've been playing for multiplayer so far is BF4 on the PS4

Yeah I heard Knack was pretty "eehhhhh" so I stayed clear of that and I'm a huge fan of BF so I have been playing that non stop as well.
Killzone is nice to look at but feels a bit clunky when playing. I haven't touched the multiplayer yet but will do that this weekend.

I'm excited to see what comes out of this console later on down the road, but for now I've been just playing Resogun and BF4 which is fun.
But I'll probably end up just playing more of my old PS3 games I never beat and wait for Destiny and Infamous to come out.

Haha yeah, I've actually been playing my PS3 more than my PS4 lately, even let a friend borrow it for a few days.

Oh yeah one more thing I want to add about the PS4, I REALLY dislike how you can't play PS2 games on it, not being able to play PS3 games is understandable since they still release ps3 games and systems, but they stopped producing PS2's, really wanted to play a bunch of my old PS2 games I found very fun since my old PS2 broke a while back :(

I'm waiting for a nice RPG, I'll probably get Elder Scrolls Online even though I dislike becoming addicted to MMO's haha, I'm a huge Demon/Dark Soul's fan and can't wait for Dark Souls 2 to come out, upset that they aren't making a PS4 version (don't think they are...), Deep Down looks nice, and also Planetside 2 will be awesome to play on the ps4 hopefully :D

The main game I'm looking forward to however is Kingdom Under Fire 2, I love how many features they are adding to the game, it's like an MMORPG/RPG/RTS now and look's gorgeous, which it should, been in the making for over 5 years now lol

I haven't seen anything on Kindom Under Fire 2, I'll have to check that out!

And yes Planetside 2 is going to be great!
But as far as MMO's go I'm going to just keep with GW2 every now and then.
Dark Souls 2 looks very very good as well.

The PS2 game I miss playing is Persona. >.<'

If you wanted to add me I'm usually down to play what ever PSN - krYmSiiN

Yes sir, I have.
It's a tad clunky for me. BUT I haven't played the multiplayer yet so I will do that this weekend and see how it is.
This is my opinion though. >.<
It is my first Killzone game so I'm going to give it a chance.

Haha my brother basically forced me to buy that game to play with him, but as soon as I get it he stops playing... Yeah I was pissed lol, however I played it for a while and really enjoyed it, but since I didn't really know anyone else who played it or really socialized with anyone in the game I didn't really went through the whole experience and stopped playing, been wanting to get back into it, love how everything works in the game

Back on topic!

I haven't beaten the Killzone campaign yet BUT! I believe it was the 2nd level, where you're in the forest. I loved that level! there were so many strategies on how to take on the level because of how open it was and all the various objectives, it felt a bit like a metal gear solid game to me haha, wish there were more levels like that one to be honest, made me really feel like an elite secret agent/commando with all the gadgets, I made full use of everything that level and loved it.

EDIT : Yeah sure man I'll be sure to add you, you seem like you like the same games I do ^^ though I won't be playing anytime soon though, got a bunch of things to do atm, prolly get on tonight if I'm free

The PS4 doesn't launch in Japan until February 24th, so I don't think I would expect any Japanese games to release until then.

I never thought to look into that, I just figured they got it first.

Yes, the launch titles were disappointing - especially the exclusives. On the other hand, I bought Lego Marvel Superheroes (which I only got because not many of the launch games appealed to me) and it's fantastic. Hardly next-gen though. I think Resogun was the best PS4 exclusive release.
As someone commented, with the system not releasing until February in Japan, you probably won't see the major Japanese developers releasing stuff until then. Hopefully, games like Yakuza Ishin might get a Western release, if not from SEGA then perhaps from Sony, as they've been hinting as much for the past few days.
Also, if you like JRPGs, keep an eye on the Persona website on Sunday. There's meant to be a big announcement then, possibly Persona 5 or Persona 4 part 2, and although we don't know what system it will release on, it's possible that it could be a PS4 title. :)

As someone who very rarely plays western games, I was only a bit disappointed. The announcement that Japan would get it later (Feb. 22) already meant that there would be nothing for me at the western launch.

I'm not in any rush to get the console since PS3 still has a lot of great Japanese games coming.

I'm gonna wait it out for about 2 months or so, if I buy it at all. I love 60 fps and looking forward to a new game that I actually give a shit about, but nothing else about the console holds any kind of appeal to me. I'm one of the very few in the anti-social media minority that is phasing out what's left of humanity, which is being pushed too much by these new consoles.

Resogun is pretty fun but other than that I have been wasting my hours on Battlefield 4. I really hope there will be more jrpg for this gen than the ps3 generation.

I doubt it will be a PS4 title, but that still doesn't change the fact that its going to be awesome. The only thing that I could get mad at Atlus is all this hype and the announcement ending up being a concert of something.
