The holidays are drawing near and so is The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug.
I for one am super stoked and plan to see it in IMAX 3D.
Who else is planning to go see the next part in Peter Jacksons three part Hobbit adventure?
Any plans of watching the first just before you go see the second?

I'm excited, but at the same time, not so much. Since I've read the book already, I know who'll die. And I'm not too happy with it. But either way, I'm watching it.

3D? No, I'm not in the 80's anymore. I'm gonna wait for it to release on torrent in DVD quality and watch it then, like I always do. And yes, I will have to watch part one first or else I'm gonna go "huh?" on part two since my memory is shot.

I'm definitely stoked to see it, the LOTR and the last hobbit are my favorite movies.

I won't be able to see it in 3D though, I always get headaches after watching 3D movies.

More people have to keep in mind that there are things that work great in a book that don't work as well on a movie audience, and there are certain things an American movie going audience just wouldn't accept.

So for the most part I'm fine with the changes being made to the story. Frankly they have to be done for the film to be successful. I know there are going to be a lot of purists out there who are going to be up in arms about a lot of things but sit back and enjoy it for what it is.

Man oh man it was good. The one battle scene with Legolas was absolutely incredible, and I've seen tons of battle scenes. I'm super excited for the next one, aaaaa. I saw the midnight premiere and I could not stop talking about it for days afterward. Yep.
