I just finished Persona 3, the Journey, (playing the Answer now), and just ordered a PS Vita to play PS 4 Golden. As you can guess, I am very excited about the Persona 5 announcement.

You're in for a treat. While there's still debate as to whether P3 or P4 have the better story and characters, the game mechanics of P4 are a huge improvement, and the Vita version really is the 'definitive' edition.

P5 Confirmed for PS3. Late 2014 in Japan.

3DS is getting a Persona spinoff.

Vita is getting a Persona rhythm action game, in the vein of Project DIVA or The Idolmaster.

II'm not sure how I feel about this because I have played a few Project Diva games but don't think I could spend a dime on one. and I don't se why the don't just port to one there making on the Ps3 to the Vita??????? it makes no sense and doesn't it take up ore time to create a whole different (stupid) game instead of lowering quality here and there for the vita....... I dunno but I might not buy it purely out of spite.

It's actually probably going to be VERY similar to the Project DIVA games, considering it has the same developer - Dingo inc - so if you don't like those, I doubt this is going to impress you much either.
It probably won't even come to the West anyway. Hard to say, but it's clearly a niche title on a niche system. Still, the Project DIVA games are perfectly playable for non-Japanese speakers, and what's more SEGA has actually released the latest one in the West, with the Vita edition coming next year.
It's still a year from release, so perhaps we might see it come to Vita too. However, it's more likely that Atlus/SEGA could release an upgraded version, as they did with P4:The Golden somewhere along the road.

My first experience with a Persona game was P3P. I loved it. When I saw footage of the PS2 version I realized how much I missed out in the graphics department and being able to move through the town. So I got FES, which is a lot of fun, except not being able to control team mates. P4 changed my expectations of a Persona game, everything was better IMO

Well, there you have it. P5 on the PS3! Kind of surprised it's not a PS4 game, but I'm not complaining- it'll save me from buying one for a while yet. :)
Let the anticipation begin! Gotta say though- winter 2014 in japan is quite a wait...... how far behind will the rest of us be waiting? I dread to think..... :(

Not really a fan of playing RPGs on the Big screen cause I don't like to hog the T.V with my level grinding

Pfft. People shouldn't be hogging the TV when you've got level grinding to do!

I will be buying all of the games they announced, I'm sure.
Unfortunately, that also means that I will need to buy a PS3... it's the only reason I wish there was backwards compatibility on PS4.

There is a chance Sony will have their streaming gaming service available by the time this comes out, and then you may be able to play it on the PS 4 through that.

There are also so many great games for the PS 3, that it is worth having one. There are great JRPGs like the Tales series and indie titles that are only available on the PS 3. There is no reason to feel bad about having to buy one, since you can do so much with it.

I'll be skipping the rhythm and maybe the fighter.

Not sure about Q, it'll depends on what kind of game it is. P5 is a for sure buy

I didn't have money for that stuff when I was in my 20's either. One of the benefits of age is that you can finally start to afford the toys you want.

I'm interested about Q, since some of those character's shown in the trailer don't belong. :/ I will probably get all of them once they come stateside, looking forward to playing each.

Persona 5 looks interesting, I know the blue and yellow colors of persona 3 and 4 were symbolic of the tone in the story so does anyone know what the color red symbolizes or have any theories that put the color red together with the chairs?

I am so pumped for these games. I've never played a Project Diva game, but I will buy Dancing All Night.

As for Persona Q, I am really happy to see the protagonist form P3 get a name and come back. Chibi form too. Awesome.

Persona 5 words cannot describe how excited I am about this. I vowed to never sell my PS3 and now i never will have too.

Persona 5 will hopefully be a very powerful game. (Just like in some aspects most of the others) From all the rumors i've heard about before the announcement they have been working on it for sometime. And it being released on the PS3 is just another yay for me. (Atleast cause i'm waiting just abit before i buy a ps4. I like to see what is up with some of the ifs and buts.) But i probably wont care if it's bad or not. I'll still support the company :P

Though i have to say i hope in some extent that it's slightly more darker. I liked Persona 3 more then 4. Not comparing them really much as they are both amazing games. But i just enjoyed 3 that much better because of the over all "dark" feeling it gave. With the world and such. While 4 came off to me as more colorful then not. Regardless both games are amazing, and waiting for P5 just makes me get giddy like a little girl sometimes haha. Can't wait to see it =D
