I'll just provide a short answer, if you feel you HAVE to play anything on release, you don't have the right to whine whenever you hit a bug or glitch with that product. It's a risk every customer has to accept taking.

The 360 is the only console I've seen to date with a production issue worthy of being a buying decision factor. Even the original PS3 had a failure rate within industry standards, unlike the barmy 50%+ the 360 was struck with.

Calling anyone a fool for assuming they'll be in the 99% of problem-free consumers is a little uncalled for.

I agree it is uncalled for. But just two things

1. I'm a bastard
2. My point was aimed at the 1% who start raging and crying when they hit faults in the product when they were aware they there was that chance, no matter how small it was.

But you do also have a valid point, I can accept that.

My Ps4, Wii U and my Xbox one are all working perfectly fine.
I've been playing a lot of Killer Instinct and Resogun lately.

People who got a broken Xbox or PS4 are the lucky ones. They will get a new system replaced easily by the retailer. The unlucky ones are the people whose console works for 1 year and then breaks right after the warranty expires.

But, you have to realize how more powerful the other two are. Packing that much hardware and power into one console, your bound to have a few hick-ups, (unlike Xbox supposedly). Like really, the Wii U never malfunctions because theirs barely anything for the console to malfunction with. No blue-ray, hardly any TV, internet (if you call that a browser) it's basically like a ungraded Wii. I will give you that I own one and I play Monster Hunter ultimate...............a lot.

Having read through this post 4 times, I had to bold the following and respond to them.

No Blu-Ray:

The Wii U plays Blu-Ray games, but doesn't function the Blu-Ray movie playback. I can even show you a video that proves that Wii U games are blu-rays.

Hardly any TV:

Since when the hell did I need TV to enjoy a game console other than using it to hook up the console and play it? Do you know how much TV I watch these days? Unless the Orioles or Ravens are on TV....ZERO.

Internet:

Funny because I just used the internet app on Wii U to look up a live indoor soccer game on YouTube, since the YouTube app was a pain in the rear to let me find it. I was watching both the Baltimore Blast on the PC and another indoor soccer game on the Gamepad. The gamepad is 1000% under utilized by 3rd party developers.

If one game is all you're playing on the Wii U, then words can't describe as to how I feel about that.

Well, the fact is both of these consoles have die hard fans that will hate on each other no matter what... I love the fact that both are having troubles and now all of those that spend all that money out of the gate won't even get to enjoy the games now because both companies screwed over their customers trying to get them on the shelves before the holiday season in order to max. their profits. Always wait on these sorts of purchases people the first ones will probably have to be sent off now and because it won't end up being all of their products they won't ever call for a full recall because that would hurt the image of the company. I will buy the xbox one but after a few shipments have been made so i can make sure mine won't screw up.

Both consoles have had issues with stuff like this, PS4's bricked consoles and the Xbox having this issue. They are covered by warranty. Stop trying to start a flame war, its gotten more than old at this point and more importantly this should be in the video game section of the site, not in general discussion.

This is why I always wait a year or so after a new console launches before I buy it. If you buy a system at launch, you are more likely to have glitches and failures. I also wait so that when I finally buy a next-gen console, there will be plenty of games to choose from.

And that's why I waited three years to buy my PS3, 2 years for my PS2... To avoid all these stupid launch problems.

Not denying the point of your post, but Titanfall is coming out on PC too.

Personally, I'm not buying either a Ps4 or Xbox one. While I still have my day one bought ps2 and ps3 in perfect condition, I just don't trust day one releases anymore. But the real point for me is backwards compatibility. I'll wait and see what the promised digital downloading thing ps4 will have is like before buying one and if Its lack luster, I'll sadly become a pure PC gamer for the first time.

Personally I think its retarded that on modern consoles you are paying for them to have tons of extra features they don't need and that most people already have other devices to do. What are the chances that if you are paying for internet (like for online gaming) and you don't have a pc..... pretty low. Since when are people too lazy to change the channel to go back and forth between gaming and tv. The first wii was unusual because it had no dvd playback but then again who doesn't already have a dvd player. Now I think streaming video apps like Netflix and Crunchyroll are cool for consoles and are great for people that don't have a streaming box like roku or one of the many others.

All and all I think video game console were best when they were purely made for video games.

I'm also a little biased against the xbox one because of its name.... I know its for the all in one device but all I can think of is grandparents that know nothing of game consoles thinking they are getting their grandchildren some new games buying original xbox games they can't even play on the One for Christmas or birthdays.

We're seriously going through this shit again?

Yep, gonna wait a while on my PS4. Ground Zeroes doesn't come until Spring of next year, so hopefully they'll have all the kinks worked out by then.

On a humorous note, I HAVE to laugh at Xbox, and Xbox only. Never owned one, and I giggle every time something fucked up happens with them. Disk drive of death...Gehehehehehehehe.
