I have the Bose earbuds and they sounded great right out of the box. thousands of hours later they still sound great. Never heard of this burn in stuff for headphones, or any speaker really.

My hearing is atrociously bad and I run all the audio on my computer through an extension cable for convenience that has proven itself an excellent EM antenna.

In short, no as I'd never notice a difference.
