Hi everyone! I've… never seen most of Naruto. In fact, I only saw a little of it in high school (I'm 22 now.) So I've decided to watch the entire thing and post my reactions in short videos as I go! I'll share the links to my reviews here. I hope you enjoy this video series!

If you've watched Naruto, I hope you enjoy my reactions to a series you enjoyed. If you haven't seen it, maybe we could watch it together! :)

Don't take this the wrong way, but, please, do yourself a favor and just.... don't put yourself through this...Even if you skip the filler, everything is going to start off great, but it will only rip your heart out at how awful everything gets later on down the line. Take this from a fan of the series that got disillusioned. :(

I can't stop you, but, I can warn you. Good luck. XD

I know a lot of the series lags… I figure I'll go into this with the attitude of "talk serious about what I like - make fun of what I don't". Plus I tend to watch anime while getting work done, so it's a nice de-stressor to not have to take a series too seriously.

Thanks for your concern though. I shall consider myself warned. xD

You must be a masochist. I've probably skipped 70% of Naruto as it is, and you want to watch the whole thing? They couldn't pay me enough to sit through that crap again. Honestly, do yourself a favor and just start with Shippuden, you'll be confused at first, but the show flashbacks so much you will have eventually watched the first season anyway.

Ok... no. The first series is a lot better overall.... minus the filler (it is filler... it is always bad...) The stories told are better, the characters are not ruined, the characters actually do things that are important, the battles are overall more enjoyable, and the pacing is better. The second half of Naruto, which is Shippuden, starts off great, and then devolves into tedium, plot threads that go no where, garbage revelations, moronic character UNdevelopment, and anti-climatic resolutions that you can think of a better way to handle than Kishimoto does just by being a functioning human being.

If you enjoy doing this, then have fun and do it.
However, I think you could do an Arc review and not an episode review. Just a quick 2-5min video review of an Arc(12+ episodes most of the time). As a ''youtuber'' myself, I can tell you that nobody, but truly nobody, is going to watch a review of the old naruto episodes, especially if it's one episode review at a time. I'm sorry, but it is how it is.
Oh, and as saksiss wrote, I only recommend watching Shippuden.

I actually have followed Naruto for a very long time now

and I also skipped a lot , a lot of the fillers right around the 135's in the earlier Naruto .I pretty much refure to watch the fillers . I also dont watch it every week , I wait until a storyline is done and watch it , for example the fight between the Uchiha brothers and Kaboto.I also read the manga from Viz online.
I also accepted how the anime production made the series and dealt with it . The entire jouney Naruto takes is very long and they sure make it even longer, much much longer.

Anyway....There are only few basic things in the story you need to know and watch in the earlier seasons of Naruto.
http://narutomasters.tripod.com/id18.html

And Shippuden is pretty much after his training with Jiyaria , about 3 years after and then there are fillers here and there but they are not as bad as the before and of course you can skip them easily since you are going to marathon it .

If you read the manga , you will easily figure out if a particular arc is a filler and then skip it. But there are fillers written with in the story , which is pretty clever and tricky but those ones are not bad at all.

But I would recommend you marathon the episodes by the arcs or mini arcs becuase this anime is notorious for making a lot of episodes to finish a storyline , there are tons of arc.

And then do your review per arc instead .

So if you are willing to hang in there and revview the entire series , hope you have fun watching this series as much as I do.

You seem to be confused about something.. Your response "Ok... no." gives the impression that my comment was a "wrong answer". But in actuality, it's my personal opinion. If you feel the way you described in your comment, that's your choice but don't start acting like I'm wrong by voicing my own personal opinion on Shippuden. Some prefer the first series over the second or vice versa, there is NO wrong answer on this thread.

It has more to do with actual plot and character development. It all gets thrown out half way through Shippuden. It is just too hard to believe that you would not have a problem with that.

Only watch the beginning, the Chuunin exams and the Sasuke retrieval arc of the first series. After that....well ....prepare for the bullshit that is Part II.

I was a huge fan too. But disappointment after disappointment ruined everything for me to the point where I am only reading it now to get it over with and to see how the train wreck actually ends. I guess a part of me is still hoping beyond hope that SOMETHING positive will come out this at the end... I doubt it, though.
