instead of rewriting my previous post, I'll just write a brand new one. So...

Yes, I love the franchise - both DB and DBZ are GREAT. As good as One Piece (the manga!) or HxH (IMO; both the manga and anime). Even if I were given a chance, I wouldn't change a damn thing.

grew up with dragon ball and DBZ = best part of childhood!!!
however of recently i've come to realize how gooooood DBZ movies are
If your interested in less filler and more fighting aand want some plot (may not be a whole bunch) while still fitting in the cracks and crevices of the series the movies are def a way to go!!

I like DBZ but Dragon Ball is better than DBZ

I agree.

To me, the Saiyan saga (Vegeta & Napa's invasion) is still a part of Dragon Ball.

After that, it's Dragon Ball Z.

I only liked it up until the Buu saga ended, stopped watching it after that. I don't even know whether it continued or not.

I was and still am a huge DBZ fan, it was my gateway to anime been my #1 favorite up until I ran into Hunter x Hunter ^^

loved DB as well, some would argue it's better than DBZ, but DBZ just has more sentimental value to me <3 loved when it aired on Toonami way back when... those were the days

I literally watch DBZ almost every single day. Watched it when I was a kid and loved it ever since.

Also I constantly imagine myself in situations where I would suddenly turn into a Super Saiyan.

I'm NORMAL.

Still a big fan of DBZ. It is the series that got me into anime, and it was a big part of my childhood.

Well of COURSE.

I didn't just grow up on Dragonball Z however, Dragon Ball VHS Tapes down at the local Mexican-Mart and Asian-Store. I had to make sure I got the English tapes over Japanese or Spanish boot leg's!

Dragonball and the Curse of the Blood Rubies - First Anime movie, age 3. My aunt recorded me and my sister watching it.

I'm a huge fan of the series, and like any true fan I own all the seasons from Dragon ball, through to Z, and into GT. As well as classic VHS Tree of Might, Revenge of Cooler, Return of Cooler, Broly the Legend, and Bardock/Trunk's special recorded off a Blockbuster Tape way back win.

To put it simply, you know you're a DBZ fan when you're an Aithest who goes to Church like his mom wants NOT because you're trying to convert, but because the pastor is almost as big a DBZ fan as you, and loves to talk about DBZ with you.

No, seriously. That guy had half the series on Japanese SUBS VHS IN HIS CAR TRUNK....I don't own those....how the hell did he and WHY are they in his trunk? .....that guy was seriously devoted.

But, even to the day. Rewatching DBZ for the fight scenes is damn stupid. Rewatching for the characters and silly jokes(Which are prominent if you're watching the correct seasons) and ignoring half of the filler while really eating up the other. Sure the World Tournament was stupid...but Pikon guy, PIKON. The most unoriginal character that still managed to be cool as hell. He's like a Kung-fu Fire Breathing Ballet Piccolo....like, what?

I know I watched it as a kid, I know I liked Dragonball more than DBZ. But I don't think I have even seen an episode since maybe middle school? Last thing I remember from the whole thing was Cell I think? Maybe that pink guy... Bu or something like that? Don't remember who was first or last but yeah around those 2 was when I kind of stopped watching completely.
