With Funimation having BlazBlue: Alter Memory, it's likely that they will outsource it to the original cast (via Bang Zoom! Entertainment), being that it's well-known, as well as the games being non-union (the same kind of dubs from Funi) and the anime only lasting a single cour (to be exact, 12 episodes).

Here's my possible English cast (if Funi chooses to make the dub union-contracted)

ADR Director: Kristi Reed

Crispin Freeman (replacing Patrick Seitz) - Ragna the Bloodedge
Christina Valenzuela - Noel Vermillion, Lambda-11, Nu-13
Roger Craig Smith (replacing David Vincent) - Jin Kisaragi
Doug Erholz - Hazama
Mela Lee - Rachel Alucard
Philece Sampler - Taokaka
Kirk Thornton - Jubei
Steve Blum (replacing David Vincent) - Hakumen
Kari Wahlgren (replacing Lauren Landa) - Litchi Faye-Ling
Michelle Ruff - Carl Clover, Linhua, Ragna the Bloodedge (young)
Julie Ann Taylor - Kokonoe, Tsubaki Yayoi
Cindy Robinson - Makoto Nanaya, Gii
Ezra Weisz - Nago
Travis Willingham - Relius Clover
Kate Higgins - Saya
Doug Stone - Valkenhayn R. Hellsing
Jamieson Price - Iron Tager
Laura Bailey - Platinum the Trinity
Tony Oliver - Bang Shishigami
Spike Spencer - Arakune

Not sure if this is profitable.

You mean outsourcing? I mean Funi was able to oursource Ikki Tousen GG and XX to New Generation Pictures (located in the same area where BlazBlue is recorded at and shares the same VA pool), so they could afford it.

Quick question: Does Funimation have streaming rights only or do they have the home video license as well?

Hmmm. What do you want changed?

If it streams well, they'll get the full rights to it (hopefully with a dub made for Toonami in late 2014)

given the ratings of this anime, I do not see the profit margin as high. of course, profits are profits, but i would rather allocate resources elsewhere.

For what reason would Funimation or anyone dubbing group for that matter, dub Blazblue and change any of the characters actors already available, except for arguably Tony Oliver as Bang?

Slightly off-topic but why did Bang's VA change to Steve Kramer?

First off, I think Funi will dub it in-house.

Ragna Bloodege- J. Michael Tatum (or they could get Patrick Seitz I think)
Jin Kisaragi- Todd Haberkorn
Hakumen- Micah Solusod
Litchi Faye-King- Brittney Karbowski
Bang Shishigami- Sonny Strait

Unless it would make them a lot more money to get the original English video game cast, they'll go with their in-house talent.

Funi could get easily get Patrick Seitz to do Ragna if they choose to dub it in-house (although most fans would prefer it be outsourced to the original cast and have it recorded at Bang Zoom!, given that Funi's counterpart Sentai's (which has been getting more and more locally-made dubs than Funi's rate) been doing and that it would be too soon to do it in-house since ChronoPhantasma is getting released in 2014). Alternatively if they don't reprise him, they could use Chris Sabat instead. I'm not so sure about Todd doing Jin since the kind of roles he does since he left to California are either secondary or tertiary roles. And I don't think Micah would fit Hakumen at all
(either David Wald or Jason Douglas would make a better fit for him). Also to mention they were able to outsource Ikki Tousen GG and XX to the original cast (and also combine bits of the DD cast together), which amount to two cours (26 episodes) as opposed to Alter Memory's single (12 episodes). Both are largely fighter type series with fanservice present (Ikki Tousen even more so, being that it codified and popularized the panty fighter subgenre, which shows like Agent Aika first introduced).

This is only if Funi decides to make Alter Memory union-contracted (like what Aniplex of America did with their treatment of the Fate series (Fate/Zero, which is is Union contracted), in contrast to Geneon/Sentai's version (Fate/Stay Night and its related anime, which are non-union)).

Not sure why Steve Kramer replaced Tony Oliver as Bang. He's not the only character whose VA who suffered the change. The series is infamous when it comes with its cast since they change the VAs too often (Julie Ann Taylor doing Mu-12, Spike Spencer doing Hazama, and Laura Bailey doing Rachel Alucard in Continuum Shift II). I do say that Doug Erholz makes a better Hazama than Erik Davies.
