Hey,

I've signed up for the 2-week free trial and wish to cancel it, yet I keep receiving this error message when trying to do so:

"You cannot cancel your free trial while your billing information is being validated. Please try again at a later time."

I've validated my account, which I originally thought to be the problem, but no luck.

Another minor question: will my access to the site end immediately or at the trial expiry date assuming I cancel before then?

That's normal if it's only been a short time since you started the trial. You'll be able to cancel it shortly--once the payment info has been validated. I'd give it until end of business Monday at least.

When you do cancel it will cancel immediately. If you want to keep access to the premium membership until the end of the trial period, then don't cancel until the trial is about to expire.

Normally 24-48 hours.

Keep in mind when you cancel, your premium membership privileges terminate immediately.

If that seems unfair, keep in mind you've indicated at that point you have no desire to continue a premium membership, and it is a "trial", not simply "two free weeks".

I am having the same problem, however with mine, it says this:

your Premium Membership will expire on Nov 28, 2015
which is the end of the free trial anyway.

And obviously, that would not be immediately. Unless what TheAncientOne is trying to say is that this message is a straight up lie and benefits would end immediately after if i was able to hit cancel.

I had my 2 week trial end immediately the moment I hit cancel. I was in the middle of watching an episode and the next one had ads. I can't say exactly I wasn't mad. I'm ok if it had said that ya know it wouldn't continue if I'd canceled it, but it said it would

It IS a straight up lie. I just canceled my free trial because I didn't want to risk forgetting to cancel it before the free trial ended... and guess what, even though it tells you it will continue until the end of the 2-week period, it DOESN'T. You just get straight up booted out.

Amazon's free trials don't pull this scam on you, pretty disappointing.

And there lies my problem with crunchyroll, they pretty much say "oh yeah, if you don't like the trial, it's fine: just cancel and it will keep the trial going until the end." but then when you cancel it, they say "get out, you cancelled our premium membership, so no more benefits for you".

Hell, even YOUTUBE RED (as utterly flawed as it is) at least gave you until the end of the trial even after you cancel, and most of all, they didn't mislead me which is the easiest way to piss me off! To the cruncyroll staff: please just be honest about the consequences of ending the free trial before it actually ends instead of luring people with the ability to cancel it and not accidentally spend money on the premium membership if they don't want to and then flipping them the finger as soon as they hit "cancel".

You will automatically be charged for your first 30 days at the end of the trial period.

PLEASE HELP ME. All I want to do is BUY THE PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP.
not only will the 14 day free trial not work, but it won't even let me BUY PREMIUM.
Even more upsetting is that the only way I can find help is THROUGH A FORUM.
So who know when I'll be able to watch anime without ads.
