If I wanted to be in a relationship yeah. I would not want to leave someone I care about just because of that.
I just hope he would not want to do coitus or adopt children since I have no interest in doing either.

I don't want kids,
but no amount of idealistic denial will convince my survival instinct of that.

So it's ok if she's sterile because I don't want kids in the first place,
but no amount of idealistic denial will convince my survival instinct of that, either.

As I speak only for myself and not towards others I would have to say no. I will be honest...no babies for me is a deal breaker. I have wanted children since the age of 12...well not literally, with a child between me and my wife...we will only fall deeper in love (this is a must for me).

Though I doubt I would be in this situation, because there are a few things I will make sure to find out about the woman I love and checking early in this matter is only a good investment in my opinion.

I don't understand why it would be a problem If I am trying to have a little me mix with her, it could include all my bad genes. If I love the little guy or gal, I wouldn't want to inflict that upon them. Besides there are millions of kids that deserve a home and family that are already in this world, they don't deserve to be denied a chance at a happy home. Let us worry about the ones that are here by no fault of their own, a family that is chosen is just as good as the original kind.

Lets not have a poll, its better just to exchange thoughtful answers than a quick yes/no. Kind of cheapens the issue of such importance.

Well, there's about a 70% chance that I am sterile, so... Of course. There's adoption, surrogate mother-options, and I can always suck it up and be happy as is.

Of course I would. I would never want children anyway, so that would actually be more convenient for me.

My mother was thought to be sterile. My father knew this, but still married her, because he loved her. By a stroke of pure luck, the doctors were a bit off, and she managed to have two children. So, of course I would stay with someone who is sterile. If I truly loved them, it wouldn't matter at all.

And I've always wanted to adopt, anyway.

Sums up my opinion! Love matters the most. If you leave someone due to the lack of ability to have children, the it is the leaver who needs to reconsider things.

No. I require a new baby every 10 months. For sustenance.
