My most embarrassing gift was when I was 16. My dad has a 2008, white, ford f-150 that he lets me use to drive around in. It was his old work truck and needed a bigger truck to handle his deliveries. So a couple days before Christmas I noticed the truck was gone and my parents told me it was getting fixed because something broke I guess. So I'm stuck getting driven around everywhere and I hate relying on people to do that for me. Christmas morning comes and the first thing my parents do is hand me some car keys and I walk to the front of the house to see what was there. The truck was washed and waxed with brand new tires, rims, and a 3 foot lift on it. I told them thank you of course but I was shocked as I thought to myself, "so my dad payed to have this truck lifted with new tires and rims and it isn't even my car. So my dad did all this and called it my christmas gift." Ya, thnx dad. Thnx a lot.

That's a strange gift...so he did his own car and made it sound like yours?

Mine was when a close friend of mine bought me new boxers. Somehow, she knew precisely what I would have liked and knew the right size. She did not ask me about color or preference or size before buying them for me, yet they all fit perfectly. It was really surprising. People who receive clothing and shoes fail at sizes all the time and this was the first time I know of that a person asked nothing but the gift was perfect.

a pair of socks, undies, and a nail cutter.

We should learn to appreciate what we get.

My mother bought me an electric toothbrush last Christmas. Not much to add to that.

Uhh. Most embarrassing gift? I was a gift card to a specialty shoe store.
I have pretty big feet so I have a hard time finding shoes... This would pretty much be the closest I can get...

I thought this was just a thing people joked about. And to get that from your mother? I would have probably died.

My most embarrassing gift was at a Christmas party. I was gifted a velvet man-thong covered in candy canes.

Well, it's probably because she doesn't know what I like. I don't tell her what to get me so she usually just gets random stuff. However, this year, I had her give me a budget to spend on Amazon. Best decision ever.

I hope your gift was supposed to be a joke xD I would probably understand if it were from a friend.

Amazon gift cards and stuff are always a welcome gift. That way you can get yourself exactly what you want! Good call.

Yeah, it was from my best buddies - we all had a great laugh about it, but it still made me flush in the face.

Exactly! I ended up getting a fairly cheap Sebastian (from Black Butler) body pillow. I kinda just go it for eyecandy, but I'm still happy about it.

Is that all they got you? A man-thong? You have hilarious friends.

Hey nothing wrong with eyecandy. That's why I buy figures and statues, after all.

I actually got some really great gifts from them. One of them got my 4 favorite artists to sign some CDs for me! Those CDs are probably my most sentimentally valuable possessions. I guess they had to balance out that awesomeness somehow.

You're lucky! My friends don't make a big deal out of Christmas so I only get gifts from my parents. Kind of pathetic, actually.

Hmm...
I don't know if this qualifies more as "weird" or as embarrassing, but one year my dad gave me a purple toilet seat cover. I had repainted and remodeled the bathroom earlier that summer. I guess he thought I hadn't completed the redecorating.
