Updated to the new flash player, checked my network and updated all drivers still experiencing a rather annoying amount of video stopping and playing been happening for the past month now.. Phoned my isp to confirm that my network and connection was running without a hitch. Current speed is 65 meg down 3-4 meg up.

Tried using a multitude of open DNS servers but with no success.

From the UK with the ISP virgin media on a 60 meg fiber optic line

Is it the atlas.cogentco.com that is causing this drop in service? Noticing that my ping is shooting from 10-30 ms all the way up to 150-250 ms

A few other people have had or are having problems with lagging and freezing video on CR as well. You might get some ideas for a solution to your problem in this recent thread:

- Lag, Freezing, Stuttering Etc..
- /forumtopic-824679/lag-freezing-stuttering-etc

Many people experience lagging/freezing at "peak times" when CR's servers/CDNs are possibly overloaded. Peak times being loosely defined as:

- when new episode comes out
- or between the hours of 5:00-10:00 PM EST

FYI ... CR has noted that they are seeking more "bandwidth" (updating CDNs, etc...).

If neither of those apply to you, then you might want to try contacting Crunchyroll Support directly via the Contact Us link: http://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact.

/EDIT: One thing I forgot to mention:

I've had some freezing of video lately even with the SD quality (360p). What I usually do, and this works many times, is pause the video and hit "F5" (PC keyboard) to refresh the web page. At that point, the video is blank for a few seconds as the page reloads, but generally it loads up and plays just fine after I refresh/reload the page. It doesn't work every time, but it does seem to help more times than not.

All right then...

Cheers.

Your not the only one, Also on Virgin Media 120mb I've being seeking a fix for this for months I looked on Virgin's own community forums which has no mention of problems with CR services. I'm not sure if its a coincidence but before I went onto Virgin with 02's 12mb service I had no streaming issues. I have also done a test with my friends Virgin media service who also is on 120mb and he had the same result.

I'm assuming it's Virgin media's routing that is at fault here but then again I can't be sure because now other people have come forward to complain about the freezing and stuttering with the above examples of "only happens at peak times" / CR are aware of Bandwidth issues so are looking to upgrade their current services....
What I know for sure is it doesn't happen on every-time sometimes at peak time I can stream with no issues yet others it's like 2am in the morning watching log horizon and it stutters like hell...

I have access to a VPN which has helped if routed to Maidenhead, Berkshire this does decrease the ping enough to stream, ofcourse it's not always a sure fire way to get around the High ping and it's an extra expense. Again doesn't always work because Virgin love doing work at the weekends which gives me micro disconnects. It's just another variable in the huge list of issue's of which needs to identify who and whats at fault.

This leaves me and i'm sure alot of others alike stuck between a rock and hard place.
