I am surprised to not see anyone mention this yet on these forums.

For this week only, Ni No Kuni is on sale for $9.79 for US Playstation Plus subscribers. It is $13.99 for none PS+ members.

I'm really surprised someone who visits Crunchyroll hasn't heard of Ni no Kuni.

It is one of the highest rated JRPGs this year. It was made by Level 5 and Studio Ghibli. It was even a sponsored advertisement on the CR homepage for a little while during its release window.

I bought it for full price when it came out and would do so again. Under $10 is an absolute steal.

One of the best gaming deals this holiday. I have a very strict gaming budget due to being a full time student. Basically, I only buy games I want to play if they are $10 or cheaper (I picked up Disgaea Hour of Darkness and Persona 3 FES for $5 each a few months ago), so I don't buy games that often (I can count the number of games I have purchased this year on one hand).

However, I do have PS+ so it isn't like I am ever lacking in the amount of games to play (Borderlands 2 for free this month, woo hoo!).

I purchased Ni no Kuni for me as a Christmas present to myself. I have yet to start playing the game, but I look forward to this weekend when I can really dig into the game for the first time.

Is it for the PS4 also? I don't want to start on #2 when it's released.

Its one of the best and highly rated anime RPGs this year! Apparently Studio Ghibli (the guys behind Totoro) made the cinematics and stuff *citation needed.

Studio Ghibli did all of the artwork and wrote the story for the game.

Awesome! Thanks for the citation. This is becoming more like a wiki
I was planning on getting the game, but its wayy too expensive here. Is it good? Is the story linear? How about the battles, is it okay? Not boring? I was looking at gameplay videos on youtube, but I really want to hear what actual players think about it.

We have to get equal value for our money of course.

I have played about 2 hours so far. Just got to the part where you sleep at the Inn for the first time and you need to get some new clothes.

I admit that I shed a couple tears at that one scene early on. Even though I was expecting it (accidentally read about it many months ago when someone decided to not give a spoiler warning), it was still an emotional scene.

So far after just two hours, I have already seen enough to know that this game is going to deliver on so many levels when it comes to the story. I'm so excited for tomorrow where I can sink a good 4 hours into this game.

Well, I just bought it. Don't know too much about the game, but at $10, it's not a bad deal. Now I just need to find the time to play it.

I'm getting it but I will only be able to play it after I upgrade my hard drive, only have 80gb. The download is 22 GB I think, so you would need at least 44gb free space to download it.
