The concept of black friday makes me lose faith in humanity, although I dont know if you would consider that a christmas thing.

I dislike Fox announcing every year that there is a "War on Christmas" from secularists and FB posts related to it like "Put the CHRIST back in Christmas!" First off, let's be real, Christmas originated in Pagan traditions (Christmas trees, mistletoe etc.). Secondly, I LOVE Christmas and I'm an atheist. But I love all of secular parts about it which everyone already practices like the lights, the christmas trees, gift giving, coming together with family etc. Finally, X-Mas means the same thing as Christmas! X stands for Christ for Christ sake!

don't know why people would hate Christmas it's my FAVORITE holiday!
I love everything about it the cheesy songs, wonderful christmas movies, giving gifts to my loved ones, and spending time with my family!

Yay! It's nice to see there are people out there like me who don't like christmas

I hate the commercialism, the way people expect presents, the way people say "Are you all ready for christmas?" Am I ready for what? We don't do christmas in our household, no tree, no presents, no mad shopping and no stress. We do however have a nice dinner, being vegetarian that means an awesome overdose of roast potatoes...yuuuuummmmm!!

I hate the fact that Santa Clause, with his absolute rule over magic, can't turn his reindeer into something more practical. Instead of flying reindeer, how about a flock of Utah Raptors led by a red- nosed Moa.

So many reasons,

Most stressful time at work (Cat boarding-SO many cats, 25-30)

Obligatory family gatherings

Shopping-If I want something, I just buy it (within reason). No idea what to get most people. Gift cards!

Well to start off I dislike pretty much any christmas song. Going into stores or listening to the radio around christmas is just asking to be annoyed by the same song sung twenty different ways by forty different artists. While I don't really mind the whole idea of giving and receiving gifts since that's the "tradition" I grew up with, as I get older I've kinda stopped seeing the point in others indulging me by buying random shit and me doing the same. Plus the fact that it happens every year sort of drains the fun from it. Why should I be merry n stuff when I just have to wait 12 months for the opportunity again. Plus the people who stand around storefronts ringing bells dressed up like the Fat Holiday Pedophile really get on my nerves. I do not care about your organization, I am not guilty that I do not care, stop waving that damn thing around before I shove it up your ass. The only good part about christmas at all is seeing family you may not see every day. Not extended family, aunts uncles n cousins but brothers and sisters that live a long way away. The only redeeming factor of the experience now that I'm not obsessed with colorful wrapping paper and shiny things is seeing those close relatives. Oh, and fuck christmas mass. Same damn thing every year. Stop it.

If I hadn't of read any of the other comments I would have totally forgotten about this. Christmas lights. I do not like them to the extent that the rest of the country apparently does. What is wrong with the quiet serenity of winter? The white snow, the black skies and the bright moon are the only lights you need to feel at peace. but some people just want to screw that up with blinking lights and giant inflatables of cartoon characters in christmas garb.

Nothing besides how easily angered everyone can become. My parents try so hard with decorating, making a big meal etc. that, like every holiday, they get too angry when they're interrupted from trying to make everything perfect. It's like going on holiday somewhere away from our main village for a week; we can't ever decide what to do without arguing about it. It's arguing about getting the packing undone, arguing about getting up early and arguing about what activities we're going to do. In the end everyone spends more time stressing themselves out than relaxing like they're supposed to. The smallest things such as having difficulty fitting a bag into the car can make my mum mad. The amount of times I've had to tell her 'just calm down for god's sake' is silly and sort of makes me question why bother coming if you aren't going to enjoy yourself?

I like the Holiday, along with all the others this time of year.

I just hate all the people involved.

They're all terrible, and I frequently pass out and wake up covered in blood this time of year.

....NAH, I'm just messing with ya...

...or am I?

The only thing I don't like about the holidays is that people put on a false sense of generosity and friendliness.

These are the type of people that would run you under a bus the other 11 months out of the year and decide to be nice the few weeks of the so-called "Holiday Season"

A little honesty can be refreshing once in a while.

Christmas music...if people did NOT want me to hate it, they wouldn't start playing it before HALLOWEEN

Having to buy crap for all my in-laws...DIE CHRISTMAS DIE!!!!

That it is treated like a national holiday...prepare to be shocked ...but Christmas is a RELIGIOUS holiday and not everyone is christian...quit ramming it down people's throats already!

Christmas trees....What does a evergreen/pine tree have to due with the birth of a guy in the middle of a desert?..answer: NONE! But as christianity spread throughout Europe, they incorporated customs from the wiccan/pagan/earth based religions (ie the evergreen tree..showing life in the season of earths death...winter)...but have the nerve to talk about about them (and even give the name pagan a bad rap)
